Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I used to do it pretty much every week, sorting Sephora’s and Ulta’s online offerings by “what’s new.” (While on furlough during the pandemic, there were somehow still new releases on Ulta’s website to look at, which helped a bit with the “novelty withdrawals” from not being able to see them in person at work.) I also used to follow Instagram accounts that posted about new releases. Nowadays, it rarely occurs to me to check for myself, and whatever the YouTubers I watch talk about is usually enough newness for me.
And I don’t go shopping in person very often (a couple times a year?), but I do like to look around pretty much the whole store when I do, ha ha.

Every day! I get my daily email from Temptalia and browse the reviews, check out dupes etc. and then I usually open up the Nordstrom, Sephora, or Ulta app as well. I periodically check Natasha Denona and ABH’s website as well. Those last two ABH palettes have got me keeping an eye out for the next palette release.

Only occasionally do I browse what’s new in makeup in the stores – mainly at Mecca – Australia’s alternative to Sephora and hideously expensive. They offer UD, Nars, By Terry, Too Faced, BareMinerals etc – all the brands that really have had their hey day long in the past and what they offer now is quite sub par.
Sephora offers a few different brands, but they too here are just over the top expensive as well. But it is nice to see PMG in person though.
Mostly, if I am looking, I check out SG online and Lorac – which hasn’t done anything much lately.
I do look at CP’s lipsticks, but only when you have reviewed one that I like – eg Party Mix.

I only check retailers sites around an expected lauch date of a collection I really want to have and expect to sell out fast. There’s only a few occasions like this in a year. But I guess you could say that I browse new make up several times a week by following instagram accounts that show the newest releases and sneek peaks of upcoming releases and by reading Temptalia.

Probably daily, with the exception of Sunday (I try to stay off my phone to honor the sabbath)! I learn about products from YouTube videos and this blog.
