High SPF, lightweight and non greasy as not to get oily marks on my clothes…prefer a matte look that completely sinks in as I am not a fan of looking like I’ve been sweating! Also if I’m wearing any jewelry such as neck chains I don’t want anything that gets them greasy, so the “dry” look ones are my preference.

For the pool or a long outdoors stint: Waterproof, decently sweatproof, preferably a spray-on as there’s no one else here to get it on my back, and not heavy feeling either.
For just quick bus trips or running errands: No white cast, as this is when I use a lotion instead of a chemical spray sunscreen. Also, decently long-wearing and not anything that will attract bees due to any floral scent!

Cheap and cheerful!!!! For my body, I want something with a high SPF (since my body’s under wraps for most of the year because of the climate where I live) and I want it affordable enough that I can be lavish with it. I like something more “greasy” – so it can almost take the place of a body lotion – but not something that will leave white marks or grease marks on my clothing or on furniture.

For the body, I live in drier weather but it doesn’t get too hot, so I always prefer medium to lightweight lotion-like sunscreen that leaves a hydrating film but not greasy, drying or watery. For working up a sweat outside, I like a sweat-resistant combo physical/chemical
lotionsunscreen bc the minerals keeps skin dry without drying out the skin. For IN the water, a nice protective waterproof film layer, even if thick or greasy, is great-lotion or spray form is fine for being in the water is nice.

I like a high SPF, very sunny here! I loved Supergoop body cream, it’s been discontinued. I like Supergoop unseen, I will try Trader Joe’s dupe, next.

For a body sunscreen I want and need one that is SPF50+ to endure the Australian summer sun – not that I go out and sunbathe or anything remotely like that.
I want it to be fast absorbing, easy to use – eg a pump delivery method and last a good 4 hours before reapplication is required.
I also want it to be fairly inexpensive so that I can be lavish in my application of it.

l like a sunscreen that has tint (like instant bronzer included) so I can make sure I did not miss any spots. I like a minimum SPF of 30. I prefer a nice scent if I can get it but that is really secondary to the SPF function. I like a moisturizing but not greasy formula that absorbs quickly as well.

Rachel, you might be relieved to learn that “reef safe” is generally a marketing term that means about as much as “clean” and “non-toxic” (caveat: the claim is legislated in a few places, such as Hawai’i, but the legislation is based on the same bad science/misinterpretation of data). Michelle of Lab Muffin has written and made videos about it, and if you’d like a more direct source, search for Professor Terry Hughes.

Not too different from my preferences for facial sunscreen, but a bit more lax. Don’t care as much about white cast (except for my forearms, the rest of my body is even paler than my face!), but still need high sweat and water resistance. So I’m willing to use cheaper, American sunscreens on my body for the rare occasion I’m not simply wearing UPF clothing.
