We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! rms beauty Champagne Rose Luminizer and Milani Afterglow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder (so aptly named!). I should pull out the Wet n Wild Blossom Glow powder I was so happy to find or one of my beloved BECCA (sob!) highlighters but in truth, as much as I’m a sucker for highlighters, I don’t often use them.
I’m not a big fan of highlighters, but when I do wear one, it’s usually Laura Mercier Baked Highlighter 01. I also have Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer, but it is reserved only for special occasions like a black tie event, and I use it very, very sparingly.
I’ve kind of gone off highlighters because I’ve been using a dewier foundation, but the one I am using every day is Charlotte Tillbury Flawless Filter, I’ve been using it as a liquid highlighter both under and on top of foundation. The ones I’ve been using somewhat regularly are the Rare Beauty Positive Light highligher in Enlighten (beautiful, but very strong), Becca Berlin Girl Glow (RIP), and Nars Hot Sand.
I love Berlin Girl Glow and was so glad I was able to get it during the collab’s final restock!
Berlin Girl Glow is one of my staples, too!
I have been using the same highlighter from The Anastasia Glow Pallette for so long now! It’s my favourite!
I’m not into highlighters, I usually use a face powder with a tiny illuminating impact. Now I’m using the MAC Lightsweep Shaping Powder just because I couldn’t find Emphasize to re-stock.
All except the copper shade from Dior Backstage Face Glow Palette in 001 Universal, and the ones from the PML Divine Blush + Glow Cheek Palette in Divine Rose and Celestial Nirvana Cheek Palette in Nude Venus.
PMG Labs Golden Nectar, ABH Amrezy, Ofra Glazed Donut (with a LIGHT hand and a fan brush!), and Fenty Metal Moon.
Laura Mercier baked powder 1 and when I’m in a mauve mood it’s NARS Maldives. I did grab a highlight that I thought pretty at TJ Maxx, a nameless, big round powder. Got it home, tried it and the lovely color was just over-spray! Underneath, nothing but what would like to be a powder. Never again falling for those pretty pans. $4.99 wasted.
Refy – Topaz, a little bit mixed in with moisterizer or foundation gives a subtle glow with no glitter.
Hourglass – Tiger and Ambient palettes, these are beautiful and subtle, the strobe shades are definitely more shimmery.
Hourglass Ambient light, the lighter tri pan one. Its the only highlighter that doesn’t make my textured skin look awful.
That’s the one I have! It’s very forgiving to set concealer, wears really well too. 🙂
None!
I love the IDEA of highlighter but rarely make the effort to put one on. Between sunscreen and moisturizers and the Florida humidity, the last thing I usually need is a highlighter! I do sometimes use a wet n wild peach highlighter or the essense nude highlighter- I love both.
I have been using some old fallbacks recently, the Guerlain Meteorites powder in the Clair (2) and the MAC Lightscapade MSF. I am currently reorganizing face products so I may dig out some other stuff in my stash to get it back into rotation.
Becca Pearl or Sydney Grace Prism (both white), Haus Moonstone, Natasha Denona Super Glow in Fair and Catrice More Than Glow in Supreme Rose Beam.
The Catrice highlighter is criminally underrated and is a steal at $7. It’s a smooth, glitter free baked gelee formula and if not for the cheap packaging, I would have thought it was high end.
MAC Cream Color Base in Shell. Benefit High Beam. Chanel le beiges sheer healthy glow liquid highlighter in sunkissed!
Becca Berlin Girl Glow
Becca Rose Quartz
Becca Champagne Pop
Rose Inc brilliant on the daily (so subtle), PMG lunar allure, Char Tibbz flawless filter but I’m starting to use the glow glide pink more, Auric glow lust
