Milk Makeup Toasted Sculpt Cream Contour Stick Review & Swatches
Toasted
Milk Makeup Toasted Sculpt Cream Contour Stick ($24.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a light-medium, taupe-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a natural finish. It appeared grayer relative to a true brown but it was “warm” for a taupe.
- Semi-sheer to medium coverage, buildable to semi-opaque opacity
- Lightweight, thin, creamy; didn’t dry down fully but not tacky
- Applied well over bare skin and over base products
- Average-wear (7 hours before fading evenly)

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to be buildable, blendable, and have a matte finish. They had a very smooth, creamy consistency with moderate slip that made it easy to pick up with fingertips or a brush for application. It took about 30 seconds for it to dry down to a more semi-matte or natural-matte finish, but they never seemed fully matte or fully dried down for me.
The pigmentation was medium and buildable and easy to blend out on bare skin and on top of base products without lifting them up. I found the sculpting sticks slightly more blendable over base products than the brand's bronzers, which have a similar formula otherwise. The cream contours lasted around seven to eight hours on me before fading visibly.
As a note, I'm not overly familiar with Milk Makeup as a brand, but I know that if you purchased any of their sticks a few years ago, be prepared for a much smaller size in current offerings. It's likely that for most people there's more than enough product before it'll go bad, but they definitely used to give you more for your money! I think the physical product size is small enough that it does make it more fiddly to use and not as ergonomic as it could be.

This is a very flattering contour shade for you! Thank you, as always, for the great swatches.
I picked this up. I love it. It’s nice to have a cream option. I’ve been using Kevyn Aucoin sculpting contour powder in shade light since forever so the pan has become a bit hardened over time. With the Milk product, a little goes a long way; blends beautifully. Doubt I will go back to powder.
Even though this runs quite light for my skin depth, I do believe that I would be able to use it for sculpting where needed even so. Especially from late November into early April, when I am lighter.
Ooh I’ll need to add this to the wishlist. I’ve been trying to dip my toe into contouring but I’m honestly not great at it lol.
