We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mandarin Basilic was my #1, as usual.
A few others that I used regularly were Carolina Herrera Good Girl, Gucci Flora Jasmine, Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche, and Maison Margiela Replica By the Fireplace.
In the summer, it’s definitely Elizabeth Arden White Tea. In cooler weather, it’s a toss up between Paloma Picasso and By the Fireplace.
For me it’s definitely Lavanila’s Pure Vanilla all year round and Pinrose’s Secret Genius (vanilla, caramel, and sandalwood) for date nights and fall/winter. I also used to really love Pinrose’s Gilded Fox for later winter and date nights (cocoa spice, buttered rum and amber) but it’s come off a little strong since I became pregnant!
Andromeda’s Curse (Etsy) Darkest Violet, Elizabeth and James Nirvana White, Tom Ford Bitter Peach. and Tom Ford Black Orchid.
Valentino Viva Voce and Chanel No. 5
YSL Black Opium Nuit Blanche, Tom Ford Black Orchid, Maison Margiela (sp?) Beach Walk, and Avon x Christian LaCroix Absynthe, as usual and predictable! I’m going to be so sad when the Absynthe and Black Orchid run out, though.
Zara Rose Gourmand and Red Temptation. Honorable mentions Coach Signature and Tory Burch.
Off the top of my head (I love perfumes as much as I love makeup!!!)-
YSL’s Opium Black
Deep Midnight’s Seven Veils
Deep Midnight’s Charis
Alkemia Perfumes’ As Dark Things Are Meant to Be Loved
Solstice Scents’ Desert Thunderstorm
Black Hearted Tart’s Dead Leaves & The Dirty Grounds
Lotus Noir Perfumery’s Afterglow Burnish
Fyrinnae’s Polar Bear
Clean Reserve solar bloom and cotton and fig
D&G light blue (forever classic)
Ellis Brooklyn’s Apres and Salt
Christine, as a loyal fan of Profumum, I’m wondering which of the brand’s two exceptional Amber frags you’ve been lovin’ in 2022. The pic for your post is of Fiore d’Ambra, but the verbiage of your post says Ambra Aura (which is really Ambra Aurea). I happen to love (and own) them both, but they are quite different.
Let us know!
Sorry, typo because I’m running on very little sleep and probably shouldn’t be allowed to function in public at this point. I did mean Ambra Aurea, as typed!
