We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I know several people who don’t like to wear obvious makeup, and I know they’d all appreciate a nice tinted lip balm, so I’d choose Dior Addict Lip Glow because it’s a lovely little luxury that they wouldn’t be expecting. (I would choose the color depending on the person’s complexion.)
I am really the wrong person to ask for recommendations for this type of look. I’d probably get them a gift card so they could pick out their own stuff.
If I absolutely had to come up with a physical gift, maybe a Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush and Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow (Universal). Or some Moira Beauty Glow Getter Hydrating Lip Oils.
Westman Atelier complexion drops.. already done to for a bestie who likes minimal and imperceptible.
Probably a Fenty Gloss Bomb and one of their Cream blushes? Or, a higher quality, yet softer in tones, small eyeshadow like: UD Naked Basics 2 (if it’s still available) or something along those lines. I’ve heard that Em Cosmetics makes EXCELLENT smaller, round palettes!
I think for someone who likes barely there looks, I would gift them a couple of mascaras (such as Natio’s Tubing mascara) and a lipstick in their favourite shade. I would steer clear of complexion and eyeshadow products as they probably wouldn’t use those and finding the right shade of a complexion product would be tricky. I would also add a facial sunscreen such as La Roche Posay’s Ultra 50+ as well.
I don’t think I’d presume to give someone anything at all, except for a “back up” of something I know they use and like. I do like Seraphine’s suggestion of a luxury lip gloss like one from Dior, though – I’d be thrilled if someone indulged me like that!
