Look - White Gold and Shimmery Green

OMG, what is this? A look? SERIOUSLY? OMG! Alert the media! 😉

For those who missed why the looks have been sparse, the biggest reason was just my skin issues. I was doing the whole “no makeup” look in literal translation to help give my skin a better chance to heal/recover from the breakouts. Even though I started doing makeup with bold eye looks and no face makeup… I learned how much nicer it looks when the face is complete (even if it’s only a little bit on the face). Anyway, my skin is getting much better, so I hope to do more looks for you all 🙂

I’m on my way to do a bridal trial, so wish me luck!

How are you all doing? Life been treating you well? I’m a bit behind in all areas of mine… hoping to respond to comments tomorrow (so please don’t think I’m ignoring you!).

P.S. – I didn’t realize the crease wasn’t quite fully blended until I saw pics here, so know I went back and fixed that!

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Provence pigment (nude beige), Nylon eyeshadow (white-gold), Romp eyeshadow (dark gold-brown), Humid eyeshadow (forest green), Overgrown eyeshadow (bright yellow-green), Urban Decay Stash 24/7 Liner (antique gold), Givenchy Kajal liner (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Spaced Out blush (soft peach)
  • Lips: Gentle Simmer slimshine (sheer coral), Le Metier de Beaute Papaya Creme (shimmery peach-gold)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Provence = Baselight; Overgrown = Sour Lemon; Spaced Out = Springsheen; Gentle = Vegas Volt (applied sheerly)

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Provence pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Nylon eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Romp eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken crease with Humid eyeshadow using the 226. Overlay Overgrown eyeshadow using the 239 in the crease. Sweep Nylon eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Stash Liner on lower lash line, Givenchy Kajal Liner on lower water line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Spaced Out blush using the 129. Apply Gentle slimshine to lips, and then top with Papaya Creme lipgloss for color and shine.

I really like this look considering I’ve been a longtime fan of Humid which I haven’t worn in a very long time. Sometimes people think the application of makeup is as easy as slapping on colors and calling it a day but it really is an artform and you can tell when it’s someone’s passion because they take their time and it looks flawless! Ive enjoyed your site, your tutorials and your twittering, lol. Keep up the great work and PLEASE show photos from your Bridal trial. Pls check out my blog as well, I’m uploading some photos from a photoshoot on last Saturday. Again, great look and thanks!

Even though the crease isn’t fully blended, it still looks nice and matches your top well.

Skin probs? Ugh, that sucks. And bridal trials? Did I miss something? Are you engaged?

Really nice look, especially loving the lips. 🙂 Weird though, Stash looks completely different on me, much darker. 😐

This is a really pretty look :o) . I just got Humid last week, so gives me some good inspiration for colour combinations! I got Bitter and Juxt too so I can create more looks with different green eyeshadows – a girl can never have too many eyeshadows ;o) . It’s really good to see how nicely Humid goes with browns and golds.

I love the look!!!!! Thanks to you, I am so about to buy UD eyeliners and LMdB lip creme. 🙂 I wish there were pictures of LMdB lip creme swatches in other colors, especially Peche and pink colors.

fantastic work christine!! this look is off the schizzang!!

i love earthy green eye looks, but i’m kind of scared of them and stick to neutrals, i have similar colours and will give this one a shot, for the love of green!

thanks! xxx

I hope your skin gets better. I need to work on mine. I used to use Proactiv, but it dries out my skin so bad. I’m trying to save up to get some skin i.d and olay stuff I’ve been looking at.

I love this look. It’s a very nice green, not too overwhelming. The lip goes great as well. Your skin doesn’t look that bad in the photos, so congrats!

Christine,

I love this look. I wanted to let you know I have been having major skin problems too and I have been using DDF acne products. They have been working great and are very gentle too. Just FYI in case the Mario B stuff doesn’t continue to work out for you.

I took my make up inspiration from this look today with a slight variation in colors. I don’t have Nylon so I used the new creme de miel from the Naked Honey collection and then I did use humid but I added a touch of swimming in there as well as a touch of soft brown matte on the brow line but it turned out similar and I loved it oh and I don’t have that fun gold liner so I just used black. Thanks for posting this one. 🙂
