Still prefer either YouTube or the rare trustworthy written blog such as this site and a few others still in existence, like Musings Of A Muse or Karen on Makeup & Beauty Blog. IG does have some decent previews, but I refer to the aforementioned for the live swatches, looks done using the said product(s), and the reviewer’s thoughts on whatever it is that I was curious about.

I suppose just following bloggers and YouTube vloggers now. I don’t watch as much beauty content as I used to.
I’m still on ig but as you said, it’s just not the same since they implemented reel domination back in January. I really do not enjoy beauty tiktok at all & avoid the app unless I’m specifically looking for something. I mostly watch first impressions & reviews on yt (or check your site of course!) & occasionally venture into the bowels of Reddit for specific info about brands etc. I just wish ig would go back (not likely) or a new app would emerge!

From some unknown reasons I prefer Instagram… I like to view photos of make-up and products, I prefer to leave comments and interact with the brands on that platform. For me YouTube is for long content, Facebook for family and friends… and I don’t use other social platforms (except Linkedin, but that’s work 😆 ).
I guess IG. I follow dior etc but only the indie brands really come up in my feed. Mostly I keep up with new stuff here on temptalia or I watch Morgan on YouTube.
I used to also like Instagram for beauty content but reels usually drive me crazy and so does the algorithm, unfortunately. Sometimes if I’m looking for something specific (an eyeliner tutorial, for example) or general beauty stuff (declutters, organization) I’ll just do a YouTube search. For swatches I mostly come here!
Honestly, I ONLY care for blog formats. I recently got an Instagram account but I never open it. I do not have the patience to watch any form of videos, be it Youtube, vlogs, Tiktok or anything else, especially since I hear a lot of complaints that vloggers talk too much about other things than the product at hand.
I prefer to be told about a product in words because I am a fast reader and can quickly get the information I need from browsing plus a few good pictures. Too bad there are fewer and fewer fun and informative blogs nowadays, but at least we still have Temptalia!
I have never been on FB, IG, TikTok, or Twitter. I sometimes watch YT videos.

I used to love IG, but I stopped liking it a long time ago, when they stopped having everything in a time order. Now I very rarely check it. There’s way too many commercials, I think.
I don’t follow any beauty creators on FB, I check You Tube sometimes, and can stay there for quite some time, but it can be months between visits. I don’t have Tik Tok.
So I guess this leaves Temptalia, I read all posts when I get them in my daily e-mail. It’s a fun part of the day.
