What mascara do you love that seems underappreciated (or even disliked)?

It is rightfully underappreciated, but the Louboutin mascara, which is stupidly expensive, is lovely.

Clarins mascaras (some current, most discontinued now) are among my favourites but they generally get poor reviews on Makeup Alley or aren’t reviewed much at all. Right now, when I do wear mascara, it’s Clarins Wonder Perfect 4D, which looks natural on me and which doesn’t leave a grey smear under my eyes by the end of the day. I’m also still a fan of the original L’Oreal Voluminous, which is affordable and, in my experience, a really good mascara though a lot of people really put it down. I like it much better than much pricier mascaras from Lancome, Marc Jacobs and other brands.

Well, I definitely love how “life-proof” Heroine Can Make Long and Curl Super Waterproof Mascara is! Holds a curl great, too. However, I’ve recently returned to L’Oreal Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara because taking off the aforementioned was seriously irritating my delicate lid area and eczema was beginning to develop. So now the HCML&CSWPM will be reserved for special occasions and events.

I also am allergic to L’oreal Lash Paradise!! Every time I try it, my eyes get itchy and won’t stop watering!!! To me, it smells pretty much like hairspray!! Although it is a lovely mascara performance wise.

Cover Girl Clump Crusher Waterproof Mascara. I know a lot of people are down on drugstore mascara, but this is the best mascara I have ever used. Over the years, I’ve tried many high end brands and other drugstore brands, but I always return to Clump Crusher Waterproof because it works best for my sparse, skimpy lashes.

Drugstore mascaras are generally quite good. That’s one type of product I’m not loyal too. Right now, I’m loving Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes, which is smudge proof and $5.

Overlooked – Cover Girl Super Thick lash mascara, dark pink tube. It’s usually a the very bottom of the display wall, beside the good ole’ blue tubes of Professional Lash. It never fails for me, even when I’m at that stage where lots of lashes have fallen out and I’m waiting for re-growth.

Caliray “Come Hell or High Water” is a great mascara. It is a tubing mascara it is so easy to apply and never gets clumpy and comes right off in warm water without leaving raccoon eyes. I work construction and I work outside all year round and even when we were wearing masks I never had any smudging. It is definitely better than Estee Lauder’s Double Wear

It seems that Erica has beat me to it. Clinique doesn’t get the love it should. In general. I have extremely reactive skin. They were the first company to realize you could have sensitive skin that was oily. The High Impact is great, but with aging I find I really need a tubular or waterproof mascara. It doesn’t bother my eyes and more importantly, I don’t pull out 5 lashes while getting it off every night! I almost forgot–I love their price points. Not cheap, but not CT or Tom F. either.

I’m not sure how this is rated but I absolutely love my humble drug store find …
COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Lash Plumping Mascara …(washable one)
Honestly it beats all my other mascaras and I have already repurchased.
