What lipstick formula do you love that seems underappreciated (or even disliked)?

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro!! I feel like it’s such a comfortable liquid lipstick that’s been around for years and yet I rarely see it on favorite lists!

MAC Retro Matte (bullet lipstick). I’ve never liked these much until I started wearing Invisalign aligners. I’m not brave enough to try one of the brighter shades, like Ruby Woo or Flat Out Fabulous with the aligners, but when I wear Bronx, it stays in place on my lips even when I remove my aligners and put them back in! I just wish there was a “pinky-nude” shade in this formula. The only other light shade is Runway Hit, but peachy shades don’t work on me.

I agree that Lip Maestro is lovely, but it is not mask-friendly at all. IME its wear time is v brief as it comes off as soon as I have a cup of coffee. With how much everything has increased in price, a liquid lipstick that’s $38 really needs to have exceptional performance to warrant purchase.

I really think MAC Matte lipstick formula is underappreciated… maybe because matte lipsticks sometimes get a bad reputation. And even when matte lips was a trend, everyone used liquid lipstick.
I just love how comfortable and moisturizing the formula is while being matte and long wearing. Off course, some shades perform better than others, but the formula is so underappreciated compared to Satin or Cremesheen.

110% agree with you, Ana Maria! Wore MAC Heroine Matte lipstick yesterday all day through our brutally hot heatwave here in the Phoenix AZ metro area, and even though it was super hot out, the only time it felt slightly uncomfortable was when, after chatting up a storm with my friend Rachel R, I got that weird sticky thing going on where ones lips meet. Otherwise, VERY comfortable, especially after reapplication after eating the BEST soft tacos in our area at Diego Pop’s in Old Town Scottsdale! If I do opt to stay here in Arizona, I’m moving back to that side of town end of March.

Kosas lipsticks!! They’re incredibly smooth and moisturizing, and last quite a bit (for a regular non matte formula). I also think the color range is incredibly flattering, though I wish they’d expand it
