The perfect luminous red for evening. I want RED red…..not orange-red or pink-red…..RED…..with a touch of shimmer or luminosity. I’m so done with matte.

Warm rosy browns with a creme, sheer or luminous finish.
I’d be perfectly happy just to have MAC’s Craving resurrected. I love the colour and love the feel and fairly long wear of the Amplified Cream finish. I was out for lunch with a friend yesterday and she asked “How do you find a lipstick to match your shirt to perfectly?” and I replied “It’s the only colour I wear – just a fluke that it happens to match my top…” and I told her what it was and how it was discontinued and how annoyed I am. Then I gave her one of the 2 “nubbins” of it that I have in my purse makeup bag. She was very happy but it got us talking about how EVERYTHING that’s a favourite seems to get discontinued.

Because I feel as if I’m literally SWIMMING in a sea of various lipsticks of just about every finish and color, I’d say I’m pretty dang satisfied! Glad that I ordered the one type I didn’t have when I placed a sizable order for home and health items with Walmart yesterday: that Maybelline Vinyl Ink in Capricious! I have enough dry-down matte and semi-satin ones, but nothing juicy looking like that formula, though.
Ohhh the color I get from Frog Prince by Poppy King only with a tiny shimmer. A nice sheer plum with a little kick. Yup. I’d be happy !
I am always after a genuine russet lipstick – that perfect combination between red and brown – which no brand seems to make – they either have too much red or too much brown. And I want it in a cream lipstick finish thank you – definitely not matte.
I wore a great russet color from Lancôme called Ooh La La for ages. Not matte and very pretty. I think it’s still made. Take a look !
