What was the last highlighter that caught your eye? Did you purchase or pass?
Haus Labs’ highlighters seemed to have one of my favorite types of formula–gel-powder–and yes, I did purchase. The only real downside was the price point, which I get for the type of formula (always on the higher side), but I still feel like the pricing is out of sync with the brand’s typical price points.
Dior LE Pink Riviera.. wasn’t able to track this down in Canada. I agree completely with your remarks on Haus h/l’s. It’s 52 dollars in Canada, hardly a bargain.
It’s been years since I bought a highlighter because I just don’t use them. But I think the last one that caught my eye was part of the MAC Star-Dipped Compact: Light. I think my eye just got bedazzled by all the sparkles when I bought it…this is a quad I never use.
I cannot even remember the last time I bought a highlighter much less a new one interested me. I have Becca moonstone and MAC Lightscapade and I don’t need more than those two!
Lethal Cosmetics Magnetic Pressed Highlighter in Stellar. I purchased it. Beautiful!
Well, since I’m still uncertain as to whether it will fit into highlighter territory or as a bronzey topper, I guess Fenty Chocolate Swiller? But for a straight up highlighter, that is definitely Haus Labs Pink Amethyst Bio-Radiant Highlighter!
Sad note: my Fenty Chocolate Swiller arrived from Ulta a bit busted up, so I pressed it back into the pan and added a little alcohol to firm it up better. They literally sent me my two Nyx concealers and the Fenty Chocolate Swiller in a BAG with a little bit of bubble wrap!!! 🤬
that’s Ulta for you 🙁
I just purchased Pat McGraft’s Bronze highlighter in store because I liked how it blended into my skin tone. I’m eyeing the upcoming Chanel holiday highlighters, the photos look like it would be a good one on my med-deep skin tone. And I don’t own any Chanel powder highlighters yet. I love highlighters!
I don’t use a highlighter at all, as many just don’t work on my skintone and I dislike the ‘dewy’ effect of them. Having said that, I do like the look of some of them that you have reviewed and the Haus Labs did look beautiful. I guess if you were only using one, then you could justify the price, but otherwise they are expensive.
I have a multitude of highlighters and with some price points being higher it seems that with the amount of use the highlighter lasts forever so it’s kinda worth it IMHO.
Same, Haas, and definitely didn’t purchase because I don’t need any more highlighters and they’re too expensive. But they are lovely to look at on your site. 😉
Ooops typo, Haus.
I love highlighters but I haven’t purchased a solo one in a while. There are only so many colors and finishes one can have and I just don’t want more at this time.
i got the about face highlighter stick in greek tragedy free as part of a promotion and it is SO good– super super creamy and easy to blend, looks fab on top of a blush too. prior to that i’d been mostly using the liquid highlighter from them in roses in the walls, also fantastic.
Like several others, I have way more highlighters than I could possibly ever need so I’ve reigned in my purchase of them. But I do have a marked weakness for those from Dior so it’s probably whatever pink/cooler toned release that Dior did most recently that would have caught my eye but not my wallet!
Haus Labs Fire Opal was just IT for me, though they’re ridiculously expensive in Australia – $64.00. I’ve decided to just ask for it as a birthday present, otherwise I could never justify the cost for myself.
