What was the last foundation that caught your eye? Did you purchase or pass?
Lancome’s new Teint Idole Care & Glow! I like a dewier finish, and Lancome has had good foundations in the past. I was going to purchase it, but the brand actually sent samples. I haven’t tried it yet, though!
It was an Armani foundation, but I can’t remember which one. I tried it, but it didn’t work for me. It would have needed to be better than Estée Lauder Double Wear for me to buy it, and it wasn’t. Nothing is. ELDW truly is my HG!
Nothing new. Just my usual bulletproof, waterproof, sweatproof MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation. That’s one area of my makeup purchases that I don’t veer into adventurous territory with. Mostly because I have sensitive, breakout prone skin and also need foundation that can last through the extreme heat we usually experience here during our brutal summers. This year, it’s just been very humid and soggy, with the past month staying in the 90’s for the most part. Feels more like Florida! Tbh, I don’t mind the bizarre change up at all!
When I heard Dior’s Airflash foundation in the spray can was being discontinued, I went out and bought five.
The last foundation, which I bought on a whim because it was half price, was Flower Beauty’s Skin Illusion and Serum foundations. I have never really tried the brand at all, but after using the Skin Illusion foundation first, I was really impressed. It is a medium coverage foundation that applied like a dream and smoothed out allof my uneven skin tones. I went back the next day and purchased two more bottles of each – which I am still using many months later. So it turned out to be a happy purchase.
Same as you Christine and I love it. It’s perfect for my dry skin & just looks better the longer I wear it. It’s the only one I’ve been wearing since it arrived.
I just bought Hourglass “Ambient Soft Glow” foundation and so far really love it .
Laura Geller Baked Balance and Brighten Color Correcting Foundation. That was last year, and I’ve bought a few. It’s great for hot weather and for good skin is days where I just need some light coverage for my rosacea. It’s very flattering on my aging skin. Matte finishes just aren’t working for me any more.
I purchased the new hourglass ambient foundation. I guess YouTubers rave about it due to the high coverage. It’s nice matte finish. More coverage than I’ve been using. Now I’m wondering if I should try the air flash. I never seem to finish a foundation they seem to be bottomless.
Foundation? I’ve mentioned it before, Clinique’s Even Better Clinic Serum Foundation with SPF 25. Definitely glad I didn’t pass! Lightweight, put with an ever so slight powdery finish. If you’re extremely dry skin, you may want to pass, but great for summer (sweat-proof) wear and normal to oily skin. I’m a little dry at time as I mature and can still wear it most times.
