The last new concealers I’ve purchased are the BECCA by Smashbox Undereye Brightening Corrector (I love pretty much anything by BECCA and was sad to have missed out on this but when it was “resurrected”, I got one; it’s okay but not great) and the Dior Forever Skin Corrector which I bought without testing and at the height of the Pandemic (when you couldn’t test anything)…it was a very fortunate outcome as I love it. I do want to try the Dior concealer you mentioned, Christine, but I’ve read some reviews that say it’s very dry and matte and that’s really not a great thing for my under-eye area.
I’ve been using the same concealer for years (Lancôme Effacernes) and I’m very happy with it, so nothing else has caught my eye. (I’ve heard rumblings that it is being discontinued…anyone know if this is true?)
The Clarins concealer I’ve used for years was discontinued. I got in there quick and bought a backup. I wish I’d bought backups for the Cargo concealer that was pretty much the best concealer I’ve ever used. So buy yourself a backup (or two) Seraphine. Unopened, they should keep til you need them.
Also noted the new Big S concealer launch. Definitely a rabbit hole for me…. Haven’t gone down it yet. The photo for this post has piqued my interest.. the little brush and perhaps it’s a thinner textured concealer the way I like ‘em..but promo photographs … hmmm…
Nyx Bare With Me Concealers in Vanilla and Medium due to seeing many a YT’er rave about them. I am expecting to receive them tomorrow via UPS Sure Post. Hopefully, they really will live up to hype! If not, then back they’ll go, and I’ll return to my MUR ones that are excellent at coverage, but just a little bit too thick in consistency.
The Kokie Be Brightening, because of everyone on YouTube raving about it. I purchased, but the lightest shade was much darker than online picture and description led me to believe. I haven’t used it. I’m going to see if my friend wants it.
I buy virtually every one, unless they can be ruled out by ingredients, shade, or high ticket. The most recent is the WinkyLux and it goes to the head of the class thus far. Medium texture, buildable, fine for any type of application. 10,000? I don’t do TikTok. A bit luminous, self-sets. The color leans pink, which is fine for me. Usually the pink/red undertones bow out after porcelain to fair.
I recently picked this up and really like it. No regrets!
i’ve been seeing the new sephora concealer in tutorials. it looks pretty great. someone even did a comparison btw it and the dior. the door side still looked a touch better but it was close
Fortunately, I don’t happen to need concealer at the moment, but you never know, one day I will so everyone’s responses here are for reference.
I just dislike the way that brands, particularly Clarins, d/c all their beloved base products so quickly without ever really putting in a perfect substitute. For me it was their Linen shade in the Everlasting foundation range. For others, like Mariella, it was their concealer.
I want the Dior backstage but I’m concerned it’s not truly full coverage like it claims. I also just purchased the new Bobbi Brown but the shade was too light so I’m waiting for my Sephora to get it in so I can exchange but it covered well. My HG is Too Faced Born this Way!!
I have been looking at R.E.M beauty Sweetener concealer, I have too many now open to buy it…yet !! Right now I’m on Tarte Shape tape creamy.
