I haven’t bought a new blush in ages. The last one I bought was MAC Wrapped Candy (shortly before it was discontinued) which, in theory, I should love since I adore the finish on the ED blushes and it’s a rich plummy shade. MAC had a 30% off sale and as I’d always thought about getting this blush, I bought it. Sadly, perhaps because they were being phased out and it’s old stock or something (though age hasn’t affected my other ED blushes negatively), it’s not love….I can barely get any of the product to show up on my face and when I do, it looks more brown than burgundy. I need to try using it again when the cooler weather arrives (if it ever does) and see if I just need to rough up the surface to get the product to apply better.
I had the same experience with Wrapped Candy! It was barely there! Lovely color to look at though, just wish it had performed 😢
I wonder if that’s a reason it was discontinued, though here at Temptalia, Christine gave it a very high rating so I figured I’d either got a dud (related to its age/being old stock) or that they’d reformulated it and it wasn’t as good as the original production batch.
MAC Blushbaby. It’s nice, but I love my Clinique Cheek Pops so much better.
Patrick Ta She’s Blushing Double Take Blush Duo. She’s pigmented and applies well. I’m not super wowed by it. I’m going to wear her more in the fall and I will see if my opinion of her changes. It takes a lot to impress me with blush as I do own so many!
MAC Gingerly and Naturally Flawless, love them both. Got to try an ED Blush by MAC next.
MAC Glow Play Blush in Flowerescent (LE). Definitely love. Fantastic formula and beautiful color.
Nars Flirt from the Afterglow palette! And yes, I absolutely loved how it looked Thursday night when I wore it with a berry lipstick and plum/green eye look!
Not technically a blush but I use it as one: NARS Maldives powder. Just perfect for me. Zero peach yay! Just a gorgeous shimmery mauve with a hint of brown and red.
RMS ReDimension Hydra Powder blush in Maiden’s Blush. It’s pretty, definitely wearable, but somehow it didn’t wow me. Maybe I’m too spoiled by all these ultra-shimmery blushes out there!
The last blush I tried (and have now nearly finished) was Clinique’s Cheek Pop in Melon. And yes, I do love it. The shade colour suited me well, just a soft kind of a finish too. This range has been a winner for the brand.
Is that shade still available, Genevieve? I know Clinique got rid of a bunch (maybe all) of their original Cheek Pops and came out with new shades. If you haven’t already and it’s still available, you need to get out there and get yourself a new one!
PML Skin Fetish Divine Blush Duo in Night Bloom, blew me away, it looked like my makeup was done professionally.
I wish I could give Rose Inc a try. But ever since someone else pointed it out, all I want to do is flush that blush when I see it.
I love the Natasha Denona original blush quad.
