What are three products that are almost perfect for you? How could they be perfect?
Urban Decay Rebel Viec lipstick… it could be permanent, LOL. Sydney Grace Paris Skies could be a touch less shimmery. MAC Extra Dimension blush could offer some more neutral (like mauve/plum/brown) shades.
Fun question!
• MAC matte lipsticks: If only they had a perfect MAC matte dupe of Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk. I love the shade, but the CT formula is awful for me.
• Benefit brow products: They need a long pencil with Goof Proof on one end and Precisely My Brow on the other (in Grey). I’m willing to forfeit the brush.
• Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup: The only foundation that truly works on my skin, but they don’t have an exact shade match for me. It gets close enough, but still not perfect. Also, it could be less expensive. The price of ELDW is rising faster than my paycheck!
Sydney Grace Blushed could be a bit pinker. All lip liners could be less gray lol and all brow products for black hair could be greener(?)
I loved Lipstick Queen Saint Pinky Nude lipstick, so the fact that that brand seems to be gone for good makes me so sad. I loved the color and the formula; it would be perfect if I could get it again!
Guerlain’s Les Voilettes pressed powder works so well for my skin, but it’s hard to find and I’m trying to use only refillable compacts to reduce waste. Guerlain sells refillables, but not for this.
I love the PMG Mothership I, but it’s huge. I wish it were in a more travel friendly size. I have the corresponding MTHRSHP, but it’s not the same and still really big to carry around.
1. Fenty Cheeks Out Cream Blush. The line would be perfect if they added a true red shade, neutral to slightly cool.
2. Karity Come as You Are Palette:. Dank (matte olive) needs to be reformulated to blend, and Psych!! (highlighter yellow) needs much better pigmentation. Otherwise, it’s a solid grunge palette and I really like the color story. I also wish they’d offer the Seattle shade (muted matte mauve) as a blush.
3. Elogical Host Club Blush Palette. The first shade is a super pale, matte peach that doesn’t even show up on me.. I don’t understand the purpose of it. (Under the eyes? Blending?) There’s a better peach shade in the palette. If they traded the pale one out for a purple similar to UD Bittersweet, that would be perfect for me.
1.) MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation. PERFECT shade matches, lasts all day in our brutal Arizona heat even during Monsoon season, and has something that many long-wearing formulas don’t: it doesn’t go “cakey” . But; they need to do something to the formula so that a few hours in, if even that, they don’t oxidize and get an orange cast to them.
2.) Urban Decay, just about EVERYTHING. Please; bring back all the BEAUTIFUL, well loved lipstick shades from the OG Vice range, especially Broken and Crisis. And allll the DC’d eyeshadows, too! Don’t fix what was never broken.
3.) Mother Pat, we LOVED LuxeTrance Lipsticks. Please, I’m begging you, bring them back! She’s Heaven is my ABSOLUTE favorite nude lipstick shade ever!
1. Dior Forever Glow in 0.5N is a near perfect summer color for me, but I need it to be a touch more watery and less heavy. Just a touch. I can make it work with sprays and blending, but I’d love for it to be easier to use.
2. NARS Luster, my forever blush color, which I think is now being discontinued. Unfortunately, like all older NARS products, my blush has gotten hard and is not picking up much color. I wish their blushes didn’t dry out so much in pan. Also, we all agree that we hate NARS rubbery packaging. It’s past time to retire that nonsense! It breaks down and gets sticky and gross over time.
3. MAC needs to bring back their original Lustre lipsticks, those were amazing. I miss Jubilee in particular. The current formula is no good for people like me who are gluten allergic. While we’re at it, can we make Lipglass less sticky? I really appreciate the color and shine, but cannot wear it because any movement of my long hair means hair stuck to my lips constantly.
A good question. My three picks are:
1. I would love it if PMG brought back its Electra lipstick as it was here and gone way too quickly. And if she would put the names of the shades on the palette – that would be really useful.
2. If brands, in general, brought out all satin, shimmer, metallic or foiled palettes without any mattes or black shades. I’m looking at you ColourPop, SG etc.
3. If brands would send out their WHOLE collections to Australia, not just an edited selection – usually because the shades/products I want are often not included.
1. I wish Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter came in a bottle with a pump.
2. I wish MAC would bring back Deeply Adored it is my perfect red!
Just some general thoughts:.
Foundation shades could be duller. Not everyone has a bright complexion.
Eye pencils could be actually budgeproof. My hoods are masters at breaking down liner even with primer.
Concealers that do not have heavy texture and coverage. They are too harsh for aging skin.
These products are nearly perfect for me but not necessarily for others; not all have been universally acclaimed:
1. Juvia’s Place The Taupes – This is great for my fair and cool coloring and preference for subtlety. I would swap one of the two darker matte taupes for a a matte bone or matte pale mauve for more versatility.
2. Colourpop’s 360-degree Super Shock blush – perfection in terns of ease of use, color, and durability. I see no room for improvement.
3. Chanel Mademoiselle lipstick – Nearly perfect, but I can do without the signature floral scent.
