elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter ($14.00 for 1.06 fl. oz.) debuted a couple of weeks ago, and it has caught the attention of some readers as a potential dupe to Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter. It definitely looks the part online, and in person, I’d agree that it certainly looks and feels similar (haven’t tested for wear)… I’d say a little less fluid (not in a bad way). Here are swatches of all eight shades!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! How in the world is Fair supposed to work on actual fair skintones??? I knew from the original photos it would be too dark for my NW10 skintone but it’s even darker than I originally thought. CT Flawless Filter shade 1 is also too dark for me and this Fair shade looks to be at least 2 shades deeper than that. Crazy.

Based on the swatch the lightest shade is probably too dark and too yellow for me even in the summer. As I suspected.

But I want so badly for it to work for me that I cling to reviews of people saying it can really sheer out. I have wanted the HFF or Auric Glow Lust for so long but just haven’t been able to justify the price when there are other things we really need more. It seems like the perfect solution. I hate when the hype gets to me, especially if it is for something that won’t work (but maybe it will…maybe it will…a girl can dream….)

I’m interested to read your review!
