Violette SPF 50.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
My most sunscreen? Most used? For face, it would be Lise Watier Sun Smart – love that product. Pre-Pandemic, it was Australian Gold tinted facial sunscreen but that (and most tinted products) make masks look pretty gross.
I used to use A Perfect World face and also the eye one but it’s no longer available at Sephora here nor at Shoppers (they used to carry Origins in some locations). I wonder if it has to do with the claims of SPF.
Oh gosh – I just looked at Sephora’s Canadian site and it does seem to be back again, though, sadly, not the eye cream with SPF.
I love the Fenty Beauty moisturizer with SPF as a base. Then I add Drunk Elephant’s Umbra™ Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 if I go outside, because I’m not a huge fan and am using it up. From now on, I’ll definitely switch to Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen for daily use, which I keep in my office to retouch my face during the day.
On my arms and neck I just use Banana Boat Extra Sport SPF. I saw also that there was a recall on Banana Boat’s Hair and Scalp sunscreen due to the detected presence of Benzene, a carcinogen (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/banana-boat-spray-sunscreen-sold-nationwide-recalled-due-to-presence-of-carcinogen-benzene/). That’s not the product I have though. Hearing that there was a recall on that product but not the one I use gives me a bit more confidence that the system of detection and testing is working.
Tatcha.
Josie Maran Argan Daily Tinted Moisturizer SPF 47! Thanks to Tarababyz recommendation, I bought this, and I absolutely LOVE how I could potentially get away with using it with just some Hourglass Ambient Lighting Dim Light for just a quick errand or using it under my foundation or BB cream for flawless looking, well hydrated skin.
My favourite also. I’ve been using it for ages and I pray it is never discontinued — there is nothing comparable!
Paula’s Choice HYDRALIGHT Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30 is the only face sunscreen I have open at this point… love it especially under make-up, I just wish it was SPF 50.
Although sincerely I apply the body SPF on my face as well each time I go for a run or evening walk. 😆
This is what I always use when my skin is more dry , but I use her Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 in the summer most of the time. Agree that SPF 50 would be nice.
Almost finished a bottle of Supergoop’s Daily Dose vitamin C spf40. First time trying it , it’s pretty oily. I probably will stick the Unseen version that I like better.
Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun+
For face I used Canmake Mermaid Skin UV gel spf 50 and for body I used Supergoop Play spf 50.
Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen. I hate the feel and smell of most sunscreens, and have avoided them unless at the pool or beach. However, I’m now committed to pausing the sun damage that is aging my neck/chest, and Unseen Sunscreen is fantastic for not irritating my skin or nose. So far, it’s held up pretty well to casual exposure.
My most used sunscreen is the La Roche Posay’s Ultra Light SPF 50+ for my face and Ego’s 50+ for my body in summer.
I use Supergoop Matte Screen most of the time as it has a little tint and I can get by during the day with just that and just a little powder foundation on top. I also love the Unseen by Supergoop just as well. Both perform well under makeup. For the body I use the Supergoop Play spf 50. ( I buy it in the large pump size as I live in Palm Springs, Ca. in the desert and I use tons of sunscreen!)
Paula’s Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense on my face and neck and Supergoop Play everywhere else. If I’m not wearing makeup, I wear Elta MD Clear (tinted). This one pills up if I buff over top of it.
The/any Elta always ranks high or even tops on MD ratings lists. I too find it finicky. Also the Aussie Gold. They seem to be standalones, with what lies on top being unsuccessful. I have used the Paula daily since first purchase. It sits well under everything and cocktails beautifully, with other spf tms or foundations. The Paula is probably my only HG at present.
Anthelios / La Roche Posay 50+ (old formula, best suncream ever), Biosolis sun milk for kids 50+ (also old formula – there’s been a recall due to safety issues but I used this product for several years now and have never had any issues) and Sunveda 50+ (also a tube from last year, it’s not something I will buy again but the smell is divine)
Clinique body cream 40 spf and on the face. They have identical formula with the face cream. The body version is cheaper per grams/ounces.
