Floral Street Iris Goddess and Byredo Los De Santos
Dyptique Philosykos, my second bottle!
That one is beautiful. Do you prefer the EDP or the EDT? I can’t decide which to get. I’ve tried both but they seem similar.
Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT
Pacifica Sugar Amber Dreams
Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori Eau De Parfum Spray
How do you like it? I have the original Bloom and I’ve tried samples of 2 others in the line but they’re pretty similar to Bloom.
Probably when I bought a Travel sized Maison Mariela By The Fireplace? Which sadly doesn’t mesh nicely with my body chemistry and as a result makes me smell like I sat next to a bonfire first several hours! Either that, orr when I re-bought Fresh Life, my favorite hot weather perfume because of the citrus and light floral notes. In other words, not overwhelming to others when I’m in public places, yet still makes me feel good!
What a shame about By the Fireplace. I absolutely love it though I wear it only in the cooler months. Some time after I bought it, my daughter mentioned that she’d found a new fragrance she liked but the price was a bit steep for her (they’d just bought a new house) so I got it for her for her birthday. I was just tickled that she liked the same scent that I like!
That’s too bad about By the Fireplace. I bought a discovery set of Maison Margiela Replica scents, and the only one I liked was By the Fireplace, which dries down to a lovely smokey vanilla on me, so I decided to buy the travel size…but I’ll wait till fall to wear it.
I *think* it was a Possets order. JFK & Jackie was the standout in that order. I’m not a tea or classy perfume person however it still reeled me in with the image of classic fancy summer cocktail pool parties and it didn’t go gross on my skin so…yeah. During the heatwave a waft of black tea and classy tobacco flower has me feeling very fancy indeed. And certainly more upscale than the sweat pooling at my low back would lead you to believe….
Givenchy – Irresistible. Light and fruity, and doesn’t trigger my migraines. Also waiting for Aquolina – Pink Sugar to see what all the hype is about.
Is Aquolina Pink Sugar popular again? I received it as a gift more than 10 years ago and found it to be cloyingly sweet. Not my taste at all. I got rid of it pretty quickly.
I don’t think it’s popular anymore but it holds a special place in the fragrance community as a compliment getter. I have a feeling it’ll be too sweet for me, too haha. Curiosity gets to me!
I just brought Xerjoff’s Dama Bianca it’s a vanilla dominated fragrance with citrus notes that I can wear in the heat. I ordered a bottle of Clive Christian’s No 1 for women perfume. I got a good deal on it. I had a sample a long time ago and remember liking it, haven’t smelled it lately so this is kind of a blind buy. Hopefully I still love it, lol.
That’s a cool bottle. Haven’t tried any Areej Le Dore fragrances. Looking forward to your review.
I treat myself on my birthday every year with a fragrance. This year it was Hermes Jardin sur le Nil. I absolutely love it.
Guerlain Chamade. Heavy, complicated, heavenly. I love these deep scents in summer. If I smell anymore vetiver I’ll scream !
The last perfume I purchased was Estee Lauder’s Youth Dew – a perfume I haven’t used for a good 3-4 decades. It was on sale at an amazingly low price at our local budget beauty shop and when I smelt the perfume again, I was reminded as to why I liked it so much in the beginning. – it was one of the first spicy scents to come out on the market back in the day.
I think it was probably Paloma Picasso. I purchased 2 (I found a bottle deeply discounted – $19.99 – at Shoppers and then became obsessed with having a larger bottle, so when they had a points redemption offer, I got one using my Optimum Points to pay for the lion’s share of the cost). Many years ago, I read that Hubert de Givenchy said that a woman of true style would only have 3 perfumes. I don’t know why I set so much store by his pronouncement but for years, that was pretty much the case with me. I have waaaay more than 3 fragrances now but every time I purchase a new one, those words of his pop into my head.
Sandflowers by Montale. It’s a pretty unique summer scent with a note of seaweed and some spices. I love it so much that I wear it at home all the time. It just makes me happy 🙂
Dior Blooming Bouquet. I love it but wish it came in a longer lasting eau de parfum iteration
Tom Ford Oud Wood.
Will soon be buying a second bottle of Dyptique Vetyverio. Love it!
Ellis Brooklyn West and Sweet travel sprays in 2 separate Sephora orders.
