We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Like you, I enjoy most decorating my eyes! That said, if I could, I’d spend more time on my brows. I was a part of the ill-advised generation who plucked their brows so as to NOT look like Brooke Shields, and now they are very thin though I stopped plucking them over a decade or more ago. And it takes time to have them loo as natural as they can with MUFE Aqua Brow (ideally, when I have time) or pencils.

Yesterday, Penny commented on all the “wait 10 minutes” steps between all the other steps of doing her face. I wish I had the time (and patience) for those waiting stages. I live in a 3 storey house and the prospect of having to go downstairs to get my coffee while I wait, then go upstairs for the next step and then down again to wait for it to soak in while I have my breakfast and then go upstairs again for the next step….I’d do it but the truth is I lack both the time in the morning (how is it that time before work gets away from me the way it does, no matter how early I get up) and I also lack the patience! But I wish I didn’t! I started using hypochlorous spray a few weeks ago and that’s the biggest challenge….waiting for it to dry naturally before proceeding!

Oh my, who has time to wait 10 minutes between steps? I suppose in a more humid environment this is necessary? I’m lucky if I have 20 mins to be presentable and leave for work lol.

The only thing I give a few minutes to ‘settle’ is SPF, then I touch up with a bit of concealer, sometimes foundation, then some ‘makeups’ if I have time. I’m in a dry climate and things dry quickly, so there’s no need to wait minutes in between skincare steps.

Like most of us here, eye makeup is the one thing I wish I could spend more time on. Usually it’s a quick swipe of sparkly eyeshadow, flick of pencil eyeliner in the outer corner, curl lashes and done. It’s a real treat to spend 1/2 hour doing a special eye look!

I’m crazy for contour and bronzer. I can spend a heap of time contouring and bronzing. It’s a gradual process where I begin super light and build until I get the look I want that day. I’m a child/fan of Way Bandy and Kevyn Aucoin, the masters at contour and I never got it out of my system. I’m not talking KK contour (not tossing shade) I’m talking the old, old school contour is what I love.

I absolutely loved/love Kevyn Aucoin. I have all his books and can sit, just leafing through them, looking at his skilled work.
He was my makeup hero!
I don’t contour as I never learned to do it, lacked the patience, and worked with a mask, so I never did that step.
Now I think I’ll revisit the books and give it a try, just for fun.

I would love to spend more time on my eye looks. My husband is usually waiting for me so it’s usually a quick one and done look. If we’re going out for an evening then I can start earlier and do a nice look and I love to play!

I generally have all the time in the world, so I can sit for as long as I want/need applying makeup.
I think the part I do spend most time on is face and eyes. Sometime it’s lips, when I thought a particular lipstick would look great, and it turns out it looks awful with the eye and blush. I think I have more than once tried up to seven lipsticks, and ended up using a gloss. 😀
