Combat Dry Skin with Herbal Hydrating Serum
Mario Badescu Herbal Hydrating Serum ($30.00) is my go-to for ultra hydrating spot treatment. Sometimes when I use acne treatment products, my skin dries out in certain spots, so to counteract the drying factor of many acne treatments, I always have this at the ready. I use it in conjunction with my usual moisturizer for an extra boost of hydration. I really feel like it “locks” in the moisture. According to Mario Badescu, the Hydrating Serum is good for all skin types, and it can be used as a lightweight hydrator for oily skin as well. A little goes a long way, so for me, the price tag is well worth it!
What are the ingredients in this?
Ingredients: Deionized Water,Glycerin,Methylparaben,Triethanolamine,Propylene Glycol,Herbal Extracts: Ginseng Extract,Gingko Extract,and Ceramides
Sounds nice!
I love it for dry spots!
Hey thanks will try that;) I do have a question though concerning the post inflammatory hyper pigmentation- the flat red dots that remain even after your acne has healed for months. My derm said they were temporary and due to my olive skin tone I was more inclined to them~ but I kinda wanna speed the process up and do something about it. Anything with hydroquonine is a no no since I have heard its an proven carcinogen and I am usually really sensitive to stuff so even MB glycolic wash seemed to dry me out. The whitening mask seems to work only temporarily which is slightly disappointing. Hence I come to you ’cause I know you are have also experienced acne and usually have some of most amazing product references (the drying mask~the best) and tips. So, I basically have 5 red spot on my cheeks (a very visible spot) that I want to eliminate. Any recommendation would be highly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.
I’ve been using Kiehl’s Skin Corrector, which I think has helped. I really recommend Mederma, though. I know it’s for scars, but I feel like it helps on hyperpigmentation, too 🙂
