What is the most unique eyeshadow palette you own? What makes it unique to you?
Pat McGrath Decadence is pretty unique, I think. The color story is more muted, yet colorful, and it being all-shimmer is uncommon.

Fun question! I have what I consider a few unique palettes, based on both color story and packaging. The first one that comes to mind is the KVD Saint and Sinner palette, in large part because I love the stained glass, Gothic window packaging (the color story is also unique); Jeffree Star’s Alien is probably the most unique set of colors, but JS palettes are IMO the most unique (and excellent quality); and Melt’s Vida and Muerte combination of palettes.
I consider ND Safari or ND Triochrome as a step up in terms of colour story for interesting muted shades which do not fall into my usual safe zone. I’m not that adventurous.
Almost all of my palettes tend to weigh heavily in the “neutrals”, which isn’t to say they’re not fun (I love my neutrals and there are so many to choose from). I think I’d have to say an old Tarina Tarantino one (Emerald Pretty) or from UD, either Vice 2, Vice 2 or the Game of Thrones palette. What makes the UD ones “unique” to me is that they include colours I’d never have chosen on my own (Strike, Weirwood Leaves, to name just two) but which I’ve come to really enjoy using. Emerald Pretty – well, it’s got 2 really amazing and unique shades – Ozma and Dandy Lion.
I have had it a long time, and it’s probably well past expired, but Besame’s Snow White palette is unique in my collection. It is all matte. I am not a fan of shimmer migrating into my matte shadows from other pans. Besame used the actual color palette used by the Snow White illustrators. You know those collaborations that make you scratch your head, wondering how these colors have anything to do with the inspiration (ahem, Mac x The Sims) and where is that iconic color you associate with the collaborator? This is not that. The packaging has information on how each color was used (saddle, inside of mouth, etc). Because Besame stayed true to the movie’s color palette, the shades are interesting and not what you typically find. However, I find them very usable. And the matte formula is great. If Besame comes out with another eyeshadow palette and you’re on the fence about it, I say grab it before it’s gone. The Snow White palette is what I wish every collaboration would be.
I remember when they launched the Snow White collection. I have a powder and a lipstick from it if I’m not mistaken.
I can still kick myself for not getting the eyeshadow palette.
It was so unique that they actually used the exact colours from the film.

Kaleidos Flower Punk. It’s an interesting selection of colors. You can either focus on a particular section or play around with color combinations. It’s different from what I usually gravitate towards
There are several that immediately come to mind: KVD Pastel Goth, Viseart Coy, SG x Mel Thompson Tiny Marvels and your own creation with SG, Quintessence. All 4 of these palettes help push my creativity into new dimensions and are always producing very unique, interesting looks from my use of them.
Yes, Pastel Goth was a great palette. Always kicked myself for not getting it.
Mel Thompson/Sydney Grace palette…bright and neutral unique colors and beautiful artwork on the case.
So sad she is no longer with us.
I miss Mel. She was such welcome respite from all the drama shenanigans; beautiful person on the inside and out.
The most unique eyeshadow palette I own is the very old, but still good Dior’s Bonne Etoile. For a start the colour story is quite unique in that you have the mint and teal shades (that I predominately use in summer) and the khaki and olive brown shades, which I use in autumn/winter. The soft pewter shade can be used all year round and complements all the shades. Best bit? No mattes at all.
Another fairly unique eye palette I have is the Lorac Pro Metals – with a stunning variety of neutrals and pops of colour – soft green and blue paired with the rose gold, amber and soft taupe shades.

Colourpop Uh Huh Honey. I think an all-yellow palette is pretty unique. Unique to me because it’s the only palette in my collection where not one single shade looks good on me.
LOL this made me laugh because I can’t make yellows work on me either. Even worse on me is Chartreuse!
Same here. Greens generally don’t work well on me, either. But yellow is much, much worse!

Yellows make me look so ill and sick.
I can do greens and I imagine they do something positive for me, but yellow, that’s a horror film in the making on me.
My rarest palette is without a doubt an early Suqqu Ruridama and its colors are absolute favorites– gold shimmer, grey lilac shimmer, pale pink shimmer, and navy matte. I also adore the Viseart Coy Palette, which Nancy mentioned. From ND, I love the Trichrome and the Green Brown, even though I pretty much just use the central colors of the GB as the outer colors are too warm. Also a shout out to the Chanel Code Elegant quad– cool toned golds are kind of neutrals for me. This one has a cool toned gold, a slightly warm toned gold and a warm white (as well as a deep brown. Still being sold. Love it.
I’m more of a L/S and L/G person but I do have some fave e/s palettes. My Mac Liza AM might be boring for most of you, but for me it was perfect for work. It has a light beige, a light pink, a darker Taupe then a dark brown. When it came out I bought 3 and someone was nice enough to give me hers b/c she thought it was boring- but for my line of work (Nurse) it was great. I still have 3 Nars duos which are excellent b/c IMO some of the duos are hit & miss. I also have about 4 Stila palettes that I keep in mint condition. One is a great Summery one, IDK the name but the compact has about 6 e/s and the cover is white pearl, its so pretty. Also the only Naked palette I didnt give away was #3. I have greenish eyes and this palette makes my eyes POP.
Hard to answer. Since you added “palette you own”, I’d have to say Glamlite’s Viva Taco. It just shouts “hot” and “spicy” and truly I want to eat a taco when I see the palette, which is so unique in marketing.
