What brand do you feel you can rely on for lipstick?
MAC, Giorgio Armani, Sephora, YSL, Urban Decay… honestly, SO many brands do lipstick pretty well!

MAC, Smashbox and – my one big indulgent lipstick love – Givenchy. Remember when BITE would have been at the top of everyone’s list???
For the lipsticks I still have, Bite is still at the top…. I’m still so sad that they stopped making lipsticks other than those that can be made at their LipLabs.
Yes, I sure do, Mariella. Now, Bite has fairly tanked itself.
It used to be Bite Beauty 😩…
Now I love Revlon and Maybelline.
HA!!!! Just what I said! I wonder how many others will mention BITE with a sense of nostalgia!
MAC, L’Oréal, Revlon and basically anyone. With the exception of one who shall not be named, I find most brands get lipstick right. I may not like matte lipstick for ex. but that’s a preference and not an indication the brand is good or not. Price and shade range is what attracts or deters me from a brand
Urban Decay, Pat McGrath, MAC, Black Moon Cosmetics, Wet n Wild, e.l.f., Maybelline, Juvia’s Place, ColourPop.
MAC, Estee Lauder and loving the new Lancome L’Absolu Rouge formulas.
MAC and YSL are my go tos for lipsticks.
Gucci!
YSL, Lisa Eldridge, Givenchy, MAC, Guerlain, L’Oréal, Dior (Dior Lip Tattoo lip tints), just to name a few. I still have backups of the beloved (now discontinued) Bite Beauty high pigment lip pencils.
Pat McGrath, Urban Decay, MAC, YSL, ColourPop and Nars! Oddly, my 2 Tom Ford lipsticks are still going strong, but 2 years of hardly ever using tube lipsticks and quite a few of my MAC lipsticks now smell like crayons.
Revlon, Colourpop and Flower Beauty make up most of my lipstick stash.
Flower Beauty is such a good brand. I recently purchased some of their foundations (on a whim at a half price sale), I was so impressed that I went back the next day and purchased more.. Their lipsticks are lovely too.
Chanel and Revlon!
Hermes, Sephora collection, Pat McGrath
The Maybelline ‘For Me’ series was pretty jolly good and I would like them to extend the range. Another good brand was ColourPop’s Lux lipstick range – which was low cost and excellent.
Bite Beauty – beloved by many, never really impressed me.
MAC has kept a lot of its good lipsticks and they are excellent too.
MAC, Lancome, Revlon, Bare Minerals, Givanchy
Revlon never disappoints me. At one point I had at least 9 NARS lipsticks, not anymore, they’ve added an ingredient that smells and tastes just plain odd. I like Lancôme. I was fond of the old Clinique lipsticks, now no, the same with Urban Decay, just disinterested in the new formulation. It’s why I buy Revlon, they are just always consistent and rarely discontinue shades.
MAC, Revlon, Fenty, Urban Decay, and echoing others here I miss the original Bite lipsticks!
Lancome, Mac, and Chanel. I’m just branching out and trying Charlotte Tilbury and I’d like to try Lisa Eldridge.
Too many to list to be honest.
MAC will always to the list for me, they have made so many great lipsticks and they still make them. I also like Dior, Lancome, UD, Charlotte Tilbury, Estée Lauder, Maybelline, Revlon. I could go on and on.
Lipsticks are my number one love in makeup and I own so many, few brands have let me down, though I may not like some of the formulations. for example I don’t much care for matte lipsticks though some brands make ones I do like there’s nothing wrong with formulations that doesn’t work for me, it’s just what I’m comfortable with.
As MAC is in the top of my list, they also make a lipstick I avoid, and that’s iconic Ruby Woo. I love the colour, I love how it looks, but I hate the feeling of it on my lips after an hour or two.
Charlotte Tilbury, Milani, NARS, Revlon, and (when they have a shade I like) Urban Decay.
