I was so psyched to see this ColourPop release for my hometown teams — I’m a NY Knicks fan — and immediately popped these into my cart. But for some reason I held off and from the looks of these swatches, perhaps it’s a good thing I did! I know swatches can be misleading so I’ll wait for your full review.
These definitely don’t look Madison Square Garden to me.
As someone who has spent many evenings at MSG, I completely agree! And that peachy beige color is the last color I would ever think of for Penn Station.
My Italian immigrant Great grandparents moved to Brooklyn upon arrival in the US. Their son, my Grandfather was born, bred, raised and married my fresh off the boat Irish Grandmother in Brooklyn. So I think we know what I’m buying! Also, Manhattan was a place that I partied in, visited often and hung out in, so I’m gonna need the Knicks, too.
My Italian forbearers chose uptown Manhattan and the Bronx. As far as the palettes, I actually prefer the Brooklyn color story so I’m going to have to get both as well. As long as it’s NY! I couldn’t bring myself to purchase any of the other NBA palettes from CP although I liked the color stories.
Nope – these do not look great at all – a couple of nice shimmers, but that’s about it.
