ColourPop Team Hype Eyeliner Duo Review & Swatches
Team Hype
ColourPop Team Hype Crème Gel Liner Duo ($14.00 for 0.02 oz.) includes two gray eyeliners, and unfortunately, both were dismal. ColourPop’s formula is just quite stiff and dry, often prone to unevenness or giving difficulty to get product to apply with pigmentation.

Brooklynette
Brooklynette is a light-medium, purplish-gray with cooler undertones and flecks of silver sparkle throughout. It had semi-sheer, somewhat buildable pigmentation, but the texture was slightly thick and stiff, which resulted in product accumulating in thicker, almost raised, patches when built up. It lasted well for seven hours before fading visibly.

Top Dupes
- ColourPop Alley Oop (LE, $7.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar).
Formula Overview
$7.00/0.007 oz. - $1000.00 Per Ounce
The updated formula is supposed to have "18-hour" wear that is waterproof and be "super pigmented" for both the lash line as well as the waterline. The brand stated that the formula will set "after around 10 seconds." Many shades had semi-opaque to opaque, buildable coverage, but some shades had uneven, sheerer coverage that did not layer well, so they were more challenging to apply and to use.
The majority of shades were creamy enough to glide across the lash line without tugging or pulling, though a few shades were stiffer, more prone to breaking or dragging.
The formula seemed water-resistant based on testing with water, but the wear was more like 10 to 13 hours (depending on the shade) rather than 18 hours of solid wear. A lot of the shimmer shades lasted four to six hours on the waterline, while more matte shades tended to last five to seven hours on my waterline. These are long-wearing times for a pencil eyeliner, generally, but they are a fair bit short of the 18-hours claimed so a lot of shades rated lower than they might seem if you aren't a stickler for 18-hour wear!

Beats
Beats is a light-medium gray with subtle, cool undertones and a pearl finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage in one stroke, which did not build up well as it tended to push around product and look quite uneven, though obviously defects were harder to see when used as a thin line of eyeliner against the lash line. The texture was slightly drier and stiffer to work with. It stayed on well for seven hours before fading a bit.

Yep, they are awful…just plain bad.
Um, no. Gee, I remember when CP had decent eye liners. I had and even have some now that are excellent, these are inferior in comparison!
when the products are so bad that they don’t even deserve a letter grading… yikes!
lol! Fixed!
I used to use Honeydude a lot but their liners dry too fast and the stick would fall out!
These really seem terrible!!!
Yikes!
