Where or how do you store your fragrances?

I have fragrances in rotation in my bedroom closet, and there are open shelves as part of the corner unit that I have current favorites on. I keep the rest in my makeup room on top of dressers (out of direct sunlight).

My collection is not that extensive. I keep high rotation in a very small wall unit between sinks in my bathroom and also stored in a cupboard in same for those which I do not use that frequently. The window in my bathroom faces south and I have a vinyl privacy cover on the glass in addition to plantation shutters. Humidity levels are automatic with a household air system. Despite the savings one can realize on larger bottles of fragrance, I tend to go middle of the road or smaller.

I keep some in this alcove that is off the back of my bathroom where I have an open three level shelf cupboard arrangement. So I keep my my full size perfumes placed in rows there, along with my body sprays. Then I keep my samples (and I have hundreds) in boxes on a bookcase I have in my room. No direct sunlight on any of them either!

Because I only wear Dior Addict it’s all over the place, yes kitchen, desk and bedroom. I can leave it out because the juice is in the dark blue bottle so it won’t get ruined by the sun. I have many vintage Guerlain perfumes that I love but rarely wear. Because I love the sentiment and bottles of Jicky and Mitsuko and Shalimar and Chant ‘d Aromes, I leave them out but the glass is clear and I recently tried the Chante ‘d Aromes and it is ruined. I suppose I’ll tuck them away in a dark spot but it’s the visual I love with Guerlain. Perfection.

Well, that’s a good question! Before our family moved in with us, my perfumes were stored on a shelf in the linen cupboard, outside of my eldest son’s room. He would often complain, that’s enough perfume Mum as he walked out of his room into a cloud of whatever perfume I was wearing for the day.
Then when everyone moved in, I had to move my perfumes so as to give them a shelf for their towels and sheets… so my everyday perfumes are now living on top of my dresser in my bedroom and the really good ones are in a bag in my built in robes on a shelf.
I haven’t had time (yet) to rediscover those and find a new home for them. I have lots and lots……

I have a shelf above my makeup organizer for my perfume bottles and Lunatick Cosmetics Elvira and Vampira palettes, with samples and the tall thin “travel” bottles in glass jars.

The shelf has a lip (it’s an Ikea Mosslanda) on the front so my cats can’t pull the bottles down, and it’s in a corner of my room that doesn’t get direct sun.

I use boxes (the original boxes when I can) or Sephora shopping bags to minimize sunlight exposure, and then I keep most of the boxes on a chest of drawers in my bedroom and keep some of the boxes and most of the bags on the same desk I keep most of my makeup on.
