I used to do this sometimes, but these days, not so much. I will sometimes use a softer, more flexible mascara when taking photos and then use something blacker and more dramatic after photos as that’s when I’ll put on eyeshadow and take photos of the eye look. There’s no favored combo though!

Upper lashes – Dior Iconic Overcurl with MAC extended play as second layer.
Been pretty loyal to MEPGB for a long time because it suits my lash type so well. I replaced Marc Jacobs velvet noir with the Dior. I love the Dior because it gives me the lift I need and also some very nice volume. I like MEPGB on top for keeping separation in lashes and also bumping up the blackness.. it’s good for that too.
I’ve done it in the past but usually because I had bad mascara on in the first place. I have to add it never ended well either as I always ended up with clumpy eyelashes and deeply regretting it.
I don’t layer mascaras – I try to not keep more than one tube open at a time, since they go bad quickly.

Very, very rarely. Like perhaps a handful of times a year, I may layer a dark purple or plum mascara over my black WP mascara, just because. But, I’m also pretty lazy this past year and a half, so that’s all.
I sometimes layer a colored mascara over a black one to make the color show up better. I don’t layer everyday black mascaras.
No I wear a lengthening vitamin enriched mascara most of the time. Lancomes Definicils is great. To be honest if I’m just running errands I skip mascara because my weak eye lashes will fall out if I wear mascara too frequently. When I go out I wear a volumising mascara my favorite is Chanel’s Le Volume. I love falsies and have so many pretty ones but l wear them on special occasions.
Nope, I don’t layer mascara at all. In fact, I am lucky to wear it most days. As I wear glasses, long lashes seem to swipe my glasses like wind shield wipers, so I look for a mascara that promises to thicken my lashes, not lengthen them.
I will just layer a colored mascara over my base black mascara. I’m now on a hunt for a white mascara to layer my colored mascaras over as I’m thinking it will give them a brighter look.
Sometimes I’ll use one of my Tom Ford Extreme mascaras on the tips of my lashes with a more subtle shade-burgundy with the pink (TFX22) or brown with the copper (TFX24)-if I’m looking for a little something extra with a reddish/pinkish/brownish look.
I usually pair Mac False Lashes Maximizer with Nabla Vicious mascara (amazing! Review, Christine, please). Then Mac Extended play Gigablack on the lower lashes
