What would be your dream skincare set?

I don’t know that I use enough of any one brand’s products that there’s a dream skincare set for me… but I probably use the most products from Dr. Jart+ Cicapair range, which they tend to already release in value sets, lol!

Oh! This is a tough question! I’m not loyal to any one brand per se but to particular products. If sb twisted my arm to make me pick just one I’d go with one of these depending on the $$ available and the “emotional need of the moment”:
1) Avène – Never disappoints, not earth-shattering but “cosy”.
2) Hada Labo – I love trying their stuff! They’re so innovative! I can only get it online though 🙁
3) Kanebo – The “mother of all splurges”! I’ve never tried this one but I’m terribly curious about it.

Idk where you live, but try a local Asian marketplace. The one near me always had a large selection of Hada Labo. They make the 5 molecular weights of HA lotion, right? I felt guilty that I haven’t been there since the pandemic started, but then I remembered I had only been in 2 stores…once each… other than grocery since then.

My dream skincare set would be… customizable!
Although my skincare routine is mostly Paula’s Choice and one would say I could always pick one of their sets, I rarely use products from the same range. I like thick creamy cleansers for dry skin, milky toners for sensitive skin, I use BHA and azelaic acid toners that are theoretically for more acne prone skin, I like the lightweight moisturizers and SPFs that are targeted to oily skin, I wouldn’t see my life without retinol which is sometimes in anti-aging lines.

I would love to see brands allowing customers to pick the products in a set, not sell pre-made ones.

There’s always 1-2 products with aggro ingredients, so I basically don’t choose these. I did get a set of Cosrx toners last holiday season and found a great add-in. AHA BHA Vit C toner.

Considering how wonderful their eye cream is, and how well it actually works; a kit from Youth To The People! I’d love to see an affordable, well curated sampling of all their best selling, most raved about products in generous deluxe sized samples.

Another brand I love and would love to buy a kit from is the Japanese brand Hada Labo. What miracles their Skin Plumping Gel Cream does for my face and neck during our hot season makes me curious to try more from their line.

The hyaluronic acid lotion from Hada Labo -the one in the grey bottle- is amazing! After about a 1 hour-ish you can tell the difference (for the better) and I can’t remember having tried many things where I can actually say the same.
The list of Japanese beauty things I want to try is extensive. When I visit, I’ll be packing light (but only on the way there!

I’m not a big skin care person, more of a makeup chick but I suppose if I wanted a little bundle I’d choose Avene. I like the brand. The few things I have don’t interfere or disappoint my skin.

I wouldn’t know, honestly.
I use skincare from lots of brands, right now I use Elemis, Eucerin, Youth to the People and Dr Dennis Gross.
I would love to try sets from the more expensive brands, but dread the idea as they might be so great I couldn’t go back to the more affordable middle range brands.
I like Medic8, Filorga, Zelens, Dennis Gross so maybe something from either of those brands.

You must find the Cicapair works if you love it, Christine–I’ve been curious about it!
I use such a mismatch of products currently (DR. Jart+, The Ordinary, Tatcha, IT Cosmetics), the only whole kit I bought once was Tatcha and I didn’t wow me enough to continue to buy the pieces individually.
Many of the brands I’m scanning from other reader’s wish lists I’ve never even heard of.
I’d guess Drunk Elephant (I’ve had a couple samples I’ve really liked) would be a dream set because I like their ethics and esthetics. I’ve enjoyed Fresh and Farmacy samples I’ve received too.
