We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

This was the first Pat McGrath palette that made me open my purse Though I’m not in love with the packaging art, I love the color story. After seeing the swatches several places and live on YouTube, I gave in to the temptation and not only ordered the palette but went for the bundle with the two blushes and highlighter. I think why it was THIS palette that got me to make my first Pat McGrath palette purchase is how wearable it looked. I don’t do makeup for the ‘Gram but actually do makeup to wear in my everyday life so the previous palettes – though beautiful – just didn’t speak to me for wearing. The previous palettes were gorgeous and so artistically exquisite – not to mention those shade names and descriptions. Though I appreciated the fantasy of it all, I dint want to put money on something I would not wear on the regular. This palette I know I will be reaching for over and over again. It is also very fall and winter friendly – which is where my heart is at right now when it comes to eyeshadows. .Prior to buying the Celestial Odyssey, I did have my eye on the latest mini palettes from Huda but the swatches of those didn’t;t live up to the hype for me as how they look in the palette – plus I have singles that dupe a lot of these so I passed on the Huda minis.

It’s been around for a while tbh, the MAC Nude Model Art Library Palette, but I only saw it live recently and I thought it looked even better. If I were going to get one it would probably be this one, it being so neutral really appeals to me. If it were more matte and less shimmery I probably would have gotten it by now. I bought too many shimmery singles recently and I’m trying to be wiser with my money. Then again, with Covid going on in the world, eyes really are the window to the soul and the only thing strangers will get to look at!

There’s been a few great ones from ColourPop that caught my eye to the point of my purchasing them: Tinkerbell and Like A Virgo. I would also love to get another one of Huda’s Wild Palettes, it’s the pink and purple one, but I probably could dupe it with what I have. As for new releases, at first I was extremely interested in the PML Meta MTHRSHP until I realized that it was pretty much a neutral palette with a pop of blue and green. Seeing that I do have her Nocturnal Nirvana quad, I probably don’t need it. The other one that I’m somewhat interested in is CT’s newest quad that has one good crease shade, plus gorgeous, glowy pearl shades!

HUDA Jaguar because the color story is right up my street (though I probably don’t need another smoky eye palette), and PML Huetopian Dream, because at this point I’m just a Mothership palette collector.
