Again with the scent in eyeshadows??? I know – I get it – it’s “thematic” but so many people (not me fortunately, but still) are sensitive to fragrances and why they’d put this in something to be worn on the EYES – it’s really not “cute”. Even without the scent, Food Court and Ready, Set, Bake are two real “nope” shades for me and I probably have dupes for almost all the rest (and they don’t smell like cinnamon or honey or maple syrup, french fries, soy sauce….I could go on and on…)
How ‘bout the ultimate green palette in Wasabi? No???
LMAO
Don’t get me wrong, I love cinnamon in general and cinnamon buns specifically… but I just don’t feel like cinnamon is a scent that I want to be applying directly to my eyes. That feels like a recipe for irritation.
I’m here only for the liquid lip. I love their formula and the scents. As for the palette? No joke and no shade, I legitimately thought it was a release in different packaging. It wasn’t until a beauty youtuber pointed out that it was a “new” palette that I knew otherwise. It’s so basic and bland and toofaced…pass. yawn. and pass again.
RErelease. damn text editing.
Same! I don’t need anymore of the same eyeshadows, but I really like their liquid lip formula.
Not exactly original but most shades do swatch good. The three copper shades look very similar to each other, they could have used this space for a dark burgundy satin or similar to go with the pinkish shades. Sugar Rush is the shade I like best.
Very nice looking neutral palette that unfortunately I cannot use due to Too Faced insisting on adding Sodium Saccharine, as I have a sulfa (of note: NOT a sulfur or sulfate) allergy that is quite severe.
That’s crazy that they actually added saccharine to eyeshadow! I mean, it’s not like people are going to eat it!🤷🏻♀️
Yes, it’s totally crazy, Leslea! And Too Faced has been adding it to every single food-themed eyeshadow palette of theirs going back to the OG Chocolate Bar palette. When it came out, I had NO clue that this was an ingredient, because why would I, right? So I bought it. Wore it 4 days in a row. Couldn’t figure out why my eyes were getting so sore and reddened, worse so with each use. Had never had such a problem with any other eyeshadow before. So I called Ulta where I had purchased it. Apparently, others had the same issue, because the store manager asked me if I had a sulfa allergy, I answered yes, and that’s how I found out that this was the culprit! I promptly returned it.
I didn’t see sodium saccharin in the ingredients for this one. I saw Stevia, but I don’t know if that affects sulfa allergies.
Oh my goodness, Rachel, it would appear that Too Faced FINALLY listened! I just went on Ulta’s site and looked up the ingredients. NO sodium saccharine this time around! Yay! However, they did replace that with fragrance and cinnamon oil, so I don’t know whether I’d want those around my ridiculously sensitive eyeballs either.
Yeah, the cinnamon oil is my big concern. It makes my face and lips itch. I’m skipping this one.
Jen Phelps compared it to past palettes, and it’s almost identical to Gingerbread Extra Spicy, which I do have.
Too faced has been releasing scented food-themed palettes for a decade. They all have the same tone and therefore look the same to my eye. They’ll pop in a single shadow – blue, purple, whatever – to make them look a little more distinct.
Once you have one you have them all so I pretty much ignore them outright.
I thought last year’s Pumpkin Spice color story was really different and fun, and I’m happy I got that palette. This cinnamon one is full of shades I already own and the palette as a whole is too warm for me. I am going to enjoy my Pumpkin Spice again this fall instead of getting this one.
It’s a pretty palette. However, I compared it to the last three (both Gingerbreads and the Pumpkin Spice) and I swear dupes can be found in those palettes.
One of the previous palettes also has a shadow called Lick the Spoon though it’s a different shade.
From what I understand it’s getting good reviews for the formula. However, due to my concern over the fragrance irritating my eyes and already having these shades in my collection I’m going to pass on this.
The lip color though, I’m going to give some thought to it!
The six on the right are giving off a serious TF Peanut Butter and Jelly vibe.
I just can’t do something that smells like food.
Really, a brown palette with a pop of purple. Reminds me of the generic Too Faced palettes they come out with for holiday in the value packs. Snooze!
Too Faced are getting much better and these swatches look pretty good – although why the brand had to add in those really pink numbers is beyond me. But I do love the warm neutral shades.
However I absolutely LOATHE scents in either eyeshadows or lipsticks.
At first I thought the palette looked pretty enough, the swatches made me see I have dupes or close enough shades not to need this.
Also, I’d rather eat my cinnamon buns than wear them on my eyes or lips. I’m just not interested in Too Faced food gimmick.
Did I read the ingredients right and they switched to Sativa instead of sodium saccharin? If so, good on them.
I’ve seen good reviews about this one, but cinnamon scented products usually make my face itch. I have the Gingerbread and Pumpkin Spice and wear them with no issues, and the color stories are similar enough I’ll skip this. I’m just afraid of a stronger cinnamon scent on thin eyelid skin.
So many similar shades… why?
As someone who loooooooooves a copper eyeshadow, I am personally offended that the three copper shades are dupes for each other.
