If you could only use three pre-made eyeshadow palettes for a year, what would they be?

I obviously want to say the palettes I created with Sydney Grace, which feels sort of like a copout! So, for outside of those, I would say: Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity, Natasha Denona Biba, and Sydney Grace Autumn’s Reign.

I’d second your first two and the third would be Zoeva En Taupe. My Viseart, CPs and most SGs are depotted. Aurora is greatly underestimated and perfect as a refined, rather than bold palette for persons with lightish coloring. Also, it leans cool neutral with pops of blue and green. Another plus is easy peasy.

Oh, this is tough, since some of my favourites are smaller 4 or 5 pan “palettes” but not using them for a year would be sad for me (Chanel Tisse Rivoli and Empreinte du desert; Dior New Look, Jungle and Bonne Etoile, Smashbox Showmance and Night Shoot…). But I’ll give it a crack:

Urban Decay Naked 2, Anastasia Sultry and Urban Decay Naked Smoky….

OR:

Urban Decay Vice2, Urban Decay Naked (original) and LORAC Pro 2.

I suppose I could function with any of those 3 (but I’d miss the smaller beauties I mentioned)

It’s a pricey little palette but it is really lovely. I am a sucker for neutral shadows and more sort of “low key” colours and looks and it’s just the perfect little palette for my needs. The texture of the shadows is a dream – it’s just high quality and elegance on all counts. Christine reviewed it here at Temptalia and you can read her review and see the swatches (far better than any others you’ll see at Sephora, etc.).

Hmmm. . . . this is tough. Okay, so are we ALL leaving out the collab? Because those would be in but if we rule them out by default that makes it easier to narrow things down. 🙂

PMG Subversive, SG Enduring Love, and either Viseart Dark Mattes or UD Born to Run.

The ones I use the most are Pat McGrath Mothership I, Charlotte Tilbury’s Green Lights, and the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate palette in the lightest variant.

Urban Decay Naked (Original), Laura Mercier Artists Palette (Original), Anastasia Beverly Hills Mario Palette (Original)

There is a reason I’ve kept these around for years and actually rarely use others!! I am a NEUTRALS gal for sure. Honorable mentions go to Lorac Pro 1 and 2, and Naked 2 and 3, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette

Oh!Boy the UDxGwen palette. That’s an oldie and a goody! This is easy for me as i truly only use three palettes. Natasha Denona Coral, Westman atelier day pods(excellent primer shades for older eyes, thank you very much). Pat McGrath Vi. Red, copper and pink shades make my eyes appear green. So that is why I go for these palettes.

Urban Decay Born to Run, Too Faced Matte Eye Palette (the old discontinued one), and Tarte Tartelette Juicy (the big 20-pan one). Yep, that’d cover me for a year. Actually now I wonder why I bother with other ones, lol.

I mostly use Charlotte Tilbury quads because they are fast and easy but as far as bigger palettes I’d go with Smashbox Minimalist palette , Patrick Ta major dimension palette and ND Biba.

As an eyeshadow obsessed person, this is hard! But I think I’d have to do go with Urban Decay Naked 3, Natasha Denona Biba, and a Pat McGrath palette that would help me kick things up a notch… probably Divine Rose II.

I know Naked 3 is really old, but I just got it a few months ago and I’m in love. Every single color is super flattering on me, so I’ve been using it almost every day since I got it.

I love seeing everyone else’s most used palettes here in the comments… good to keep in mind for my wishlist! 🙂

For me DEFINITELY Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity (I’m always reaching for it though I haven’t worn eye makeup or makeup consistently in general in a few weeks). Also, Juvia’s Place Wahala II (another one I reach for often). I don’t really have a third but my most recent addition was yours, Christine – the Sydney Grace OTH Light – I LOVE THIS one, particularly the left half! Before I took my unofficial break from makeup, I found myself wanting to use this one more but trying to use some others in my collection (that grew rapidly last year).

Pat McGrath Mothership I Subliminal, Mothership IV Decadence, and I’m torn between Mothership V Bronze Seduction or Natasha Denona Glam. I think Subliminal and Glam have enough in common that I’d probably go with Bronze Seduction so I’d have a few different options. Great question since I’m determined to use what I have and really be serious about not buying anything else unless its really, really, REALLY special.

This is a hard one but I’d go with my Natasha Denona Glam Palette (so I’d have a neural palette), Pat McGrath Mega Mothership Palette (so I’d have an extremely pigmented one for glam looks) and my Huda Mercury Retrograde Palette (so I’d have a pastel palette). That really was hard because I’d love to choose at least 5 more lol.

Oh boy, I don’t know! I depotted everything so… I guess my favorites would be:
Makeup Revolution Jewel Collection Opulent (DC)
theBalm Nude Tude (DC)
Maybe the ColourPop California Love palette or bareMinerals Aurora Lights? I actually feel like a Morphe palette would be better, honestly, even though I’ve never owned one. The Morphe Fall Into Frost palette looks like it would cover the rest of my bases.

Jane Avatar

Well, again, until I have the palette I purchased from your collection I can’t say, but for now:

ND Glam
PMG Mothership I Subliminal (because I just want to look at it too, Ha!)
Huda New Nude

But, it would be SOOOOOO hard to do!
