Best Products of the Week | Vol. 312
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: nothing on my face (I worked every day and masks are mandatory in schools) but on my eyes, I used NARS Old Church Street – the lighter shade on the inner 2/3 of my mobile lids and the murky teal/green on the outer corners and in the crease. MAC Water Willow to line. MAC Craving on my lips. My hair stylist commented, as she was shampooing my hair, that my eye makeup was really beautiful!
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Even though we are still wearing masks (and I hope we will be fore the foreseeable future in hopes we can start to bring this Pandemic to its knees), I still wear lipstick and Elizabeth Arden’s Lip Fix is such a treasure for making my lips feel less parched and for keeping at least some of the lipstick on my lips rather than on my mask. That and Lise Watier Sun Smart facial sunscreen are 2 real must-haves for me.
Any products you want to use next week?: NARS Old Church Street….if the cooler weather ever gets here, it will be perfect for this time of year.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I did a pretty look using some fall tones and a loose pigment, and broke out my Celestial Divinity palette. I loved both looks. Hereβs the links if you want to see them!

What was the hero product of the week for you?: I didnβt really have one, but I really like the combo of base products that Iβve used lately.
Any products you want to use next week?: Celestial Divinity, Wilderness, Eternal Eclipse, and any amazing combo of TerraMoons and/or Clionadh shadows. I also would like to use my Devinah shadows because they have been neglected and theyβre so pretty.
Your skin tone/coloring: above
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I didn’t wear any makeup this week, my depression was bad π
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Clear Hills Honey Lip balm
Any products you want to use next week?: SO many new products I haven’t used yet – Its Bel Flare palette, BeautyBay Wilderness palette, Kaleidos highlighters.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
This simple look that is just Clinique Red Carpet lipstick and no other makeup https://www.instagram.com/p/CT7er9tAwUQ/?utm_medium=copy_link
What was the hero product of the week for you?: My quintessence palette which after getting lost in the mail finally arrived. Itβs gorgeous.
Any products you want to use next week?: I finally caved and decided to try foundation again. I have Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint in Rendezvous (ST1) and it is a great match and just the coverage I want.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Using the PMG Sublime Mini, I had Gold Nectar all over the lid, with Sextrovert on the lower lid and Corruption (the burgundy/bronze shade) on the lash line. I paired it with CP’s Gallop lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: PMG’s Sublime Mini
Any products you want to use next week?: I have no idea – whatever the weather dictates and what I am wearing.
Your skin tone/coloring: Above, grey-green eyes and dark brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I’ve been makeup free most of the week, so it must be the look I did using MAC Feast Your Eyes, I used four out of the eight shades, two of the shimmery ones, but I’m not sure if they were Sparklers or Prismetallic and two of the Leather Lustre.
I’m not sure how I feel about this palette but I can say it had great longevity. I fell asleep on the sofa, didn’t bother to remove the makeup when I woke up so I had the same makeup on for about 36 hours, I’d say it was still going strong after 24 hours and then started fading.
I’m not sure Christine has reviewed this, so a quick what I thought. It’s nothing remarkable about these new formulations, I had fall out with the shimmery ones, next time I’ll use a damp brush. I found the Leather Lustres hard to pick up anything from at all, I used a dense brush and pressed/swirled it around to pick up enough of the product to show up on my eyes. Maybe they’ll soften a bit, I hope so.
I also think that most here have dupes for most of the eyeshadows in the palette.
It is very pretty and the embossing is quite gorgeous, and that’s what I fell for.
I also used both Bittersweetie and Avant Garnet and liked them both a lot.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I don’t think I had a real hero product near me, but if I had to chose one, nope, sorry I don’t know π
Any products you want to use next week?: If my ND order arrives I want to use both the Retro and the Glam palettes, if I don’t get them during the week, Sidney Grace X Temptalia any or all of the palettes, and Bittersweetie on my lips. I think the Temptalia palettes will be my go to eyeshadows for the rest of the year, along with the singles I got from SG.
