Do you change your mascara based on the type of look?

Sort of but not by a lot! I usually like more dramatic mascaras to begin with, but if I have a really dark/smoky lid area or lower lash line, I will try to use a more lengthening and thickening one (the length being more important) if I have one open.

No. One thing I don’t mess with is mascara. It only lasts so long after all, so I use it up.
What I do do, if I have a splash more time or am going out, I’ll prime my lashes with Marc Jacobs primer first, then coat with mascara.

No, I only have one mascara opened at a time, and replace it every three months. I don’t see the purpose of multiple mascaras, for me a waterproof formula that adds some definition is enough, I don’t like too much volume and boldness from a mascara even when I do a bolder makeup.

Nope! Never! I’ve tried at various times to buy and incorporate a mascara that was other than my usual blackest black, for instance, but it only gets used a couple of times and then gets forgotten about. I just always end up sticking with one mascara that I really love. It’s got to be waterproof, non-flaking, non-smudging, hold a curl, and be as black as humanly possible! Current pick: L’Oreal Lash Paradise Waterproof.

I keep three things for my lashes, a tube of my regular mascara, one of clear mascara, and a primer. l use the clear on my lower lashes and the primer helps me get the thickness I prefer. Unless I’m doing a really dramatic eye I don’t feel like I need to do much with my lashes, so if I want to make some adjustments I might just use the clear or drop the primer.
