Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipsticks, and Amuse Bouche Lipsticks, and Urban Decay’s original Electric Palette formula… hell just the formula they had before they went vegan, lol.
I’m still torn apart when brands try to do better (vegan formulas, synthetic hair brushes), but they fail.
Besides Urban Decay (who used to have such good quality eyeshadows), for me it’s the switch at MAC from natural hair brushes. For example, the new synthetic 217 brushes are no match for my old natural hair ones.
I do like they try to be better, serve those who chose to be vegan or cruelty free, but I don’t see brands trying to improve quality. For example Urban Decay seems to become worse and worse, instead of making improvements in time based on feedback.
MAC Starflash eyeshadows. I’m still mourning not buying Smoke and Diamonds 10 years later
YESSSS!!!! I lucked out and got what was probably the LAST Smoke&Diamonds in all of Montreal but there were so many good shadows in that formula and I so wish they’d kept it in the line.
Pat McGrath Luxetrance lipsticks and MAC Liptensity lipsticks – love the creaminess and saturation of colour with these formulas. Perfect weight on the lips (not too ‘heavy’ or too oily/airy) and excellent wear time.
Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV foundation – This for me is what luminous silk seems to be for others.
Luminous silk makes me an oil slick within an hour but Lasting Silk wore beautifully on me. The perfect natural finish.
Lasting silk was a fantastic product.. there, Pearl, you found my third for me. I would love it with shade extensions.
I am still sad about the liptensity line from MAC. I wish they would relaunch it. It was the BEST.
Make Up Forever Artist shadow (the original round magnetic pans), Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick, and Estee Lauder Luminous foundation.
Original La Mer powder
Bite Beauty amuse bouche with some new shade extensions
Cannot think of a third off the top of my head. I have sufficiently replaced most with equal or better

* I want MAC to bring back the old Prolongwear foundation (I still love the Prolongwear Waterproof one, but the original was something I remember as one of the first foundations that really impressed me).
* I want Urban Decay Naked Smokey palette, with the exact formula they had at that time (recent eyeshadow formulations have been disappointing).
* I want Benefit Gimme Brow in the formula and packaging they originally had. The formula has decreased in quality through the years, although I like they have more shades (they launched with two, or at least two were sold in Eastern Europe when I lived there). Also, I absolutely hate the silver cheap looking wand like packaging they switched to many years ago. I still don’t understand how someone believed this is a good idea. 😅
Yaaas naked Smokey!! I thought I was all alone in my undying love for that palette. My fave of all the nakeds!!
For me, it would be MAC’s Starflash eyeshadow finish, Urban Decay’s Revolution lipstick formula (the Vice one is okay but Revolution was so fantastic) and Clarins Rouge Prodige lipstick formula. Honorable mentions have to go to the original BITE lipsticks (the traditional bullet ones, not the pens or pencils or liquid ones) and – who can forget these – Urban Decay’s Afterglow blushes and highlighters. They were perfection.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks, MUFE Artist Shadows, and Urban Decay Vice Eyeshadows.
Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipsticks, Bite Amuse Bouche lipsticks (and their Prismatic Lip Glosses, too), Essence Midnight In Paris Gel Eye Liner.
As much as I want the Bite lipsticks back (luminous or amuse formulas), I want the old formulation of the agave + lip mask. That was my ride or die, have multiple tubes in every purse and drawer, own in multiple colors, use it every single day balm. I had repurchased and repurchased it over and over again, gave it as gifts, recommended it to nearly everyone and now…blech. The new formulation is absolute thick tacky sticky garbage.
There’s a lot of blushes I love (the Marc Jacobs one certainly worthy), but I miss the Urban Decay Afterglow 8-hour Blush.
And I can’t really think of a third makeup formula, but I would give almost anything to have the original Kenzo perfume by Kenzo (not Ca Sent Beau, the one just called Kenzo before it). It was my very first perfume that I purchased for myself at a small perfumery in France on a school trip and I would love to have it back.
UD to bring back their old formulas for their eyeshadow palettes
Milani’s Colour Statement lipsticks in Cinnamon Spice, Bronze Beauty etc.
CP to bring back all their Lux Lipstick range to include their limited edition shades.
Chanel blushes. They changed what used to be a foolproof formula for me. Also the mug matte eyeshadow used to better. They are ok, but they used to blend easily. Can’t wait for your sg collab!
I mourn the old Bite Beauty agave lip mask. Found it after my lips got really cold and wind damaged and it was my lifesaver through years of polar vortex weather after that.
The old formula UD eyeshadows and the UD Deluxe eyeshadow formula. My favorite ever eyeshadow shade was the purple-blue Ransom! I miss it.
