A lot, unfortunately. I had much less occasion to wear lipsticks, and when I decided to do that nervetless, basically I was forced to use only the mattest and more no-transfer pieces if my (vast collection to minimize the risk to have half face pictured of lipstick after leave the mask.
The only was that I could chose the most bold and improbable pairing of lipstick with eyeshadow without caring too much

Not at all. My favourites from years past (MAC Craving, Givenchy Fuchsia in the Know, Smashbox Red Rage and Be Legendary to name just a few) are still my favourites and I wear them pretty much every day (as the red stains inside my masks – which are mandatory in my workplace and mandatory pretty much everywhere else – as it should be – will attest).

Instead of lipstick plus lip oil, I’m stuck with lip balm. At least it’s a cool Winky Lux matcha lip balm instead of the boring usual cheapy. In my dreams, though, I’m drawn to new lip products and finishes, especially pencils and metallic/sparkle finishes. I never really tried anything fun with my lips beyond the Kbeauty ombre effect, but you never know your lips until they are gone. ;-;

I’ve pretty much stopped wearing anything beyond Korean lip tints. Everything else gets on my mask and then on my face. When I’m at home, I still don’t wear a lot of color. I end up wearing a gloss or lip balm.

Although I rarely wore lipstick in the past year, my color preferences didn’t changed at all. I still love a bold burgundy, I still enjoy a mauvish my-lips-but-better. When things get back to not wearing masks, I’ll rock the same colors I love and look good on me. Maybe more often bold colors to compensate. 😅

Due to the mask mandate for public transportation, retail and other establishments, I’ve been basically wearing either one of 6-7 dry-down (or almost dry-down) lipsticks most of the time I have to go out. Or I wear a MAC Lipglass, as those stay put quite well. I wear mostly neutral or nude type shades to avoid a seriously embarrassing smudging incident!

My lipstick interests have always been pretty varied in color and texture and that hasn’t changed. What often happens is that I go through color cravings, phases where I become obsessed with certain things. Right now I’m obsessed with pinks and peaches, which are two colors I don’t normally reach for except for now when I can’t get enough of them.

I tried some new (to me, I think they’re pretty standard in South Korea) textures from brands on yesstyle and I’m obsessed. I bought so many lipsticks during my birthday month. Just thinking about my new lipsticks makes me SO HAPPY. I still really like taupe and greige lip colors, but I’m reaching for them less often because the trend has died down. I’m also using my lipliners more this year than last year. Snitchery’s and Lisa Eldridge’s lip shape tutorials were incredibly informative and have changed my lipliner shape a ton. I’m wearing less red than I usually do and more deep berry.

I have been enjoying brights lately – coraly pinks and pinky corals, the occasional red. When I wear a mask, I have a plastic shield insert so my lipstick does not stain my masks.

Color – not really. Formula – yes. I’m a lover of makeup and wear it regardless of whether or not I’ll be seeing another human being that day (or week). So I continued to wear lip products all off the last year (except under a mask – balms only) while home. Reds took a hit because I’d forget they were on and smear them all over my face. And all my liquid lipsticks took a backseat for being uncomfortable. So my nudes got a lot of wear over the year.

I did, however, wear so much gloss I actually went through three or four tubes. Totally forgot to actually keep a running count, but I’m scraping the ends of yet another. My lips are so dry that gloss and ulta-thick balms have been a lifesaver at home.

Not by a lot. The college I’ve been attending switched to online classes, March last year and has been that way since. My student job was cancelled, I was working in a school, so I’ve been at home 99% of the time. I don’t go into any stores, so I never had to worry much about mask wearing. The main change has come from my the fact that I’ve been wearing bracers for little over 2 years. We are the point where they pulling, stretching my lips making them cracked and dry. Normally, I wear lip stains or matte lipstick, now I’m topping those with gloss. I’ve went through 8 glosses in the last year, so yeah. Been a great year for project pan.

Generally no, my lip preferences haven’t changed at all. I still love my lipsticks – the creamy, hydrating ones and when we were wearing masks, that told the story too.
I have added a new colour to my favourites – Maybelline’s Mauve for Me, which was easy to wear under a mask and the shade worked well with what I was wearing.

This year I focused on comfortable lip products and decluttered most of my standard liquid lips. I bought more Ofra lippies and standard bullet lipsticks because they are comfortable to wear and don’t further dry my already dry lips and because my company moved us home as quickly as possible and kept us home so I didn’t *need* long lasting products (I’m not sure how many of us will willingly return to the office).
