What attracts to you to a new release first?

I like an assortment of colors and solid ranges, e.g. if they’re going to do blush, I love seeing several shades at once. I also love a good theme that’s done well!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

What attracts me to a new release is a number of factors:
1. The reliability of the brand in past iterations;
2.. The shade colours, finishes and format of the beauty item;
3. A positive review from you Christine
4. It has to be accessible to me – hopefully even able to view the item myself
5. Reasonable price.

Things like the presentation, the general vibe of the products and the apparent care taken in the production of the products definitely catch my eye first. After that it’s things like the range of colors and the formulas that I look at. What determines serious interest in a product is the expected quality of the item, its cost and whether or not I’m comfortable making the purchase based on other factors like company reputation, product ingredients, or if I already have too many things similar enough, etc.
