How do you apply cream or liquid highlighter?

Like cream blushes, I use fingertips whenever I’m working with it as a standalone highlighter (on tops of cheek bones and the like) as I find it easy, fast, and foolproof for even results. I tend to mix in liquid highlighter with my base products, though, so then it’s just applying all-over with a foundation brush.

I use cream stick highlighters, so I make sure to warm them up first using body heat while I’m doing the rest of my makeup. Depending on my eye look 15-30 mins later when I’m done I take the stick and apply it on my face. The heat makes it just glide on, and then I use my fingers to blend it in. I don’t wear foundation, but I will say if I actually take the effort lol to do skin prep and moisturize it helps emphasize the glow even more 😊

Also side note how do we change photos if we don’t have an account? I haven’t had purple hair in 4 years 💀😂

I use a brush to actually apply product, but I’ll use my fingertips to tap/blend on the skin. When it comes to “drier”, cream-to+powder formulas, such as NARS Multiples, however, I will typically use a dense buffing brush to apply & blend. I also tend to use “dewier”, sheer foundation, so I don’t tend to mix in liquid highlighters; if I do need to “cut” a more matte/fuller coverage foundation, I’ll use an oil or another foundation.
