Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Fingers! To be fair, I apply all of my complexion products with my fingers (and center lid eyeshadow shade), but especially blushes and highlighters.

I use a duofiber/stippling brush, specifically the e.l.f. Small Stippling Brush. I’ve tried others, and all work, but the e.l.f. brush seems to have a bit more density, and can easily fit into any component. This method may take a bit more time, but the end result is worth the effort; I get a better blend, and I have more control of pigmentation, which is especially important when it comes to deeper shades.

With creams, I just dip in the brush directly, then blend into my face. With liquids, I typically apply to a palette, then pick up with my brush, although sometimes I will dab on with my fingers, then use the brush to blend. If necessary, I will use the warmth of my fingers/hands to “press” the product into my skin.

Think I’m converting to stippling brush, maybe the Zoeva small one, or the smaller RT. Always used fingers, still do for foundation/TM, but the Fenty wasn’t doing so well with a light finger app. Probably ought to stick to powder, anyway. Speaking of Zoeva, either they are returning to their brush-only roots, or something is severely amiss. I would hate to see them follow Becca.

The only cream blush I use is ColourPop Super Shock Thnks fr the Mmrs, and I’d call the Super Shock formula more of a cream-to-powder, so I just use the fluffy e.l.f. angled blush brush the way I do with powders. It seems to work pretty well.

I use a synthetic brush from mac the bridles are two different sizes. For me it looks more evenly diffused than my fingers but I dislike using my fingers in general except for the random eye sparkles.

If it’s in a stick I put it on straight from the stick. Otherwise, I use my fingers. I only blend with fingertips in a tapping motion so as not to disturb the foundation underneath.

Because I like for my color to show up and last all day, I generally powder over this and then use a powder blush on top, followed by setting spray.
