Pre-COVID, it was bullet lipsticks. They were too tempting to pass up. Now, I am making better use of what I have in my collection and may actually finish a few this year.

Eyeshadow!!!! No question. Eyeshadow palettes; eye shadow singles; powders, creams, stick/pencil style – they are all my absolute weakness and also my albatross as I’m so over-loaded with eyeshadows that I never know what to use or what to wear or what to combine with what! But I just LOVE eyeshadow (as witnessed by the arrival of a new Marc Jacobs single just this morning!).

Lipstick and eyeshadow! LOL
I have far more eyeshadow than I can use in this lifetime, but at least it takes a very long time for eyeshadow to turn, so I’m not too worried.
Lipstick is a whole other story, though. Certain brands turn very quickly. Therefore, this is an area I’ve scaled back on with the exception of some dry-down liquid matte lipsticks.
I also have bought way more than enough lipglosses, too. Again, those will turn, which is a darn shame.

Concealers. I need more than one storage container. Everybody’s but Cle. Followed by eyeliners. Actually that’s good, because my no buy doesn’t include them. Those two will be in daily rotation, no matter what or how old I get. I’ll be that 80 y.o., still reading Temptalia, in chartreuse liner and 3 layers of concealer!

While I admittedly have far too many of everything, I’ve been binging on cream & liquid cheek products this past year, and have accumulated quite the stash… I also have quite the collection of contour products, in various shades & formulas… And highlighters…

Eye shadow, Perfume and lip sticks. During this Covid isolation I’ve been buying way too many perfumes. One of the last things my best friend asked me to bring her before she passed was a bottle of perfume. We were both fragrance lovers and I sometimes brought her bottles of perfume. I didn’t get to give it to her a new one before she passed. Now I kinda buy whatever I really want before it’s too late for me to enjoy it.

It would have to be eyeshadows and lipsticks – they are my absolute weakness. There’s nothing like a good lipstick as a pick me up (not too expensive though).
And as so many of the current batch of eyeshadow palettes contain colours that don’t work for me, when I find one that does (like Lorac Noir), then I go for it.

I definitely purchase way too much of everything!!! I have way too many eyeshadow palettes, lip products (from glosses to lipsticks and everything in between), highlighters, etc…I can’t help it because I love collections and with all the companies from Indie to mainstream launching all kind of collections I tend to want them all! I also love subscriptions and getting products monthly really adds to it…HELP!!!

Blush. I have more blush than I could use in my lifetime and I expect I have about 40 years left in me if nothing interferes.
I have over 20 blushes.
I have hit pan on ONE blush (Mac melba) in all my years, and I bought it in 2011 and I’m STILL dipping into it!
And I still gravitate towards newly released blushes. I want more.
My name is Christie and I have a blush problem.

Eyeshadows and eyeliners, I’ve been on a no buy and so far so good but UD just release a western palette and being as I live in Calgary home of the Stampede I feel that it is my duty to buy this palette even though I don’t think there will be a Stampede again this year. I don’t think it will go bad if I save it until 2022.

Pre pandemic it was anything for my lips (treatments, lip balms, glosses and lipsticks) I had stuff stashed all over my house, in my vehicle, in my coats and in my bag. That stash has now been replaced by hand sanitizers. During the pandemic it’s been all about the eyeshadow and attention to my eyes. Also skincare and perfume. Due to unavoidable mask irritation I’ve had to pamper my face and tweak my skincare routine. I’ve always loved scent but since the pandemic I’ve really been into my endless exploration of indie perfume oils.

Lipsticks, I decided I was going to use them all this year to see which ones to keep and which ones to toss. It’s not going great. I had thought I’d just take one, blindly and use it, but more often than not it clashed with the rest of the makeup. Still trying though.
I also have too many eyeshadows to use up during my lifetime, I really have to many of most makeup stuff, except mascara and at the moment black liquid eyeliner (the last one dried and is no more).

Holy mackerel! I buy way too many lipsticks and perfume! In quarantine I’ve had a moment to really stop and reconsider what I buy. I still buy and sample fragrances as I wear perfume every day. But the lipstick purchasing has been paused for a very long time since my lips are covered on the rare occasion I leave the house. On a typical day at home I will still wear lipstick just to brighten my mood.
