Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium with warm yellow undertones, dark brown hair and eyes.

Skincare product that you loved the most this month? Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster. I took a break from it for 4-6 weeks, and I just don’t know why. Once I got it back in my routine my skin immediately felt more plump, as always.

Favorite cheek products this month? MAC Peachykeen, for a little bit of spring flush.

Favorite eye products this month? Just a little bit of MAC Wedge all over the lid.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Skincare product that you loved the most this month? DermaE Collagen and Peptide face cream. It feels luxurious without being oily, and I always think my skin looks nice the next morning after using it the previous night.

Favorite cheek products this month? CT Hollywood Contour Wand, Nabla Skin Bronzing in Dune, Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam, BareMinerals Blozner in Kiss of Pink, ND Mini Bloom Highlighting Blush.

Favorite eye products this month? Menagerie Pastel Pup palette, Sugarpill Funsize palette, my Clionadh singles, and really, just pastel tones in general. I’ve never been as into pastel colors before, but they’re just hitting me right this past month. Also MULTICHROMES. All the multichromes, give me all of them.

Skincare product that you loved the most this month? My Foreo cleansing thingy – I’ve had it for several years (my kids got it for me for Mothers’ Day) and it makes such a difference when I use it vs when I don’t; Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre and The Ordinary Glycolic Toning Lotion
Favorite cheek products this month? like almost always, it’s MAC Sweet Sentiment blush. No idea what I’ll do when I finally finish it.
Favorite eye products this month? Maybe this should go in skincare but the “new” incarnation of Clarins Super Restorative Eye Cream – it has some “lifting” descriptor in the name and to my amazement, after about a month of use, my droopier left eye is looking less droopy – honestly. Also, Marc Jacobs Prim!O eyeshadow (so glad I got it while it was still available) and ABH Chiffon and Chocolate Crumble shadows.

Skincare product that you loved the most this month? I’m loving Egyptian Magic! (Also I have been testing out some of the Dermalogica products for sensitive skin and redness, and I’m impressed with all of them so far. I just got sample packets, but enough for a full week of each product.

Favorite cheek products this month? I haven’t been wearing much makeup at all this past month, but I have been using TheBalm Balm Springs this month.

Favorite eye products this month? I’ve only been using mascara for eye makeup and I’m finding I really don’t like the Better Than Sex waterproof mascara at all. I’m looking for a good waterproof mascara that isn’t impossible to remove! l love Essence Princess Lash waterproof mascara, but it seems to be “everything proof” and I have a hard time getting it off, even with coconut oil.

For my favorite eye tool I decided to buy myself a new Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I had one for at least 14 years old that I lost when on vacation a few years ago, and because they weren’t selling them at US retailers anymore, I bought other brands’ versions. I tried quite a few and thought I liked the Lancome one, but it just wasn’t the same. I’m so excited to have my old, familiar, most-favorite-beauty-tool-of-all-time, back in my arsenal.

Skincare product that you loved the most this month? I’m From Mugwort cream. Wearing a KN95 mask is wreaking havoc on my skin and aggravating rosacea. I’m fine as long as I do not talk a lot while wearing. I believe it is the friction. My skin is incredibly angry and this I’m From product seems to be the only thing to mollify.
Favorite cheek products this month? Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blonzer in Kiss of Rose and Kiss of Pink
Favorite eye products this month? I’ve been focused on my Sydney Grace mattes and using Clionadh for added interest. My eyes are getting even more tricky, textured, and hooded and I’m seriously thinking about eyelid surgery once we get past Covid. On days where I am tired, the hooded fold reaches my lashes. Properly smoking out shadows is time consuming… I stick to very simple one and mostly done looks as a result. Re: surgical intervention: I’m not expecting a miracle or a proper crease, just not wanting my eyelids drooping into my eyes. That would be fantastic. I’m roughly 5 years into menopause in my late 50’s and they weren’t joking .. about so much…. Lol. Just kvetching.. the happiness part, I’ll take gladly.

DVa Avatar

I’m a few years behind you, Wednesday (and thankfully a few years finished with Menopause) but the recent hooding of my eyes (in the last year or two) has been annoying as heck for me too–that and needing cheaters now, even to read instagram LOL.
Thanks for the heads up on the I’m From products, I’d never heard of them.

Helene Avatar

I know the feeling of hoods reaching the lashes. My right eye is more hooded than the left and the hood actually hangs below my lash line if I don’t raise the eye brow, the left is just at the lash line. I’m also thinking of surgery. It feels a bit as if I have a baseball cap on at all times.
Gravity and age suck! 🙂

Skincare product loved the most this month: I’ve been working through a sample of Farmacy Daily Greens Moisturizer, which I’m enjoying and think I’ll buy once my other moisturizers are finished.

Favorite cheek products this month: Patrick Ta: his Major Sculpt cream contour + powder bronzer duo and Major Beauty Headline blush duo in She’s so LA (which I’ve had and loved for a while). I’ll finish by tapping either Danessa Myrick’s Dew Wet Highlighting Balm or RMS Master Radiance Base Rich in Radiance on cheekbones.

Favorite eye products this month: If I’m using the PT She’s so LA, I use that (powder) to deepen my crease; often I’ll leave it at that. But I’ve also been adding Danessa Myrick’s CoverFix Ballerina on my lid some days along with that warm crease and like the subtle-ness of the look.
Alternatively I’ll use my DM Lightwork 1 palette and bronze up my eyes with the warmer shades in it, like Common Sense and No Prob.
