We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I’m wearing the golds in Mac Nude Model today. I bought it for the mauves and looked at the golds going “wtf?!” But I decided to dive into it today, and I love it. Paired with PMG Blitztrance Flesh 3 which a friend bought me – I would not have bought it unseen myself, I thought it’d pull too brown and look bad on me. But I love it.

I can’t even remember! In the spring of 2016, I had an attack of vertigo so bad I ended up in hospital and now, this past week, is the longest I’ve gone since that time without makeup (and almost without skincare – a warm face cloth and some Embyolisse is all I’ve been able to muster the energy for). I know I wore eye makeup when I went for my Covid test on Saturday (can’t remember what, though) and I’ve not had the energy or interest to put on anything since. So if anyone actually needs any “proof” of the existence of this virus or its severity, this could be a light-hearted indicator (if they choose to ignore the millions of deaths worldwide).

Thanks, Wednesday. I think I might be turning a corner finally. I can cough and sneeze without sharp pain in my ribs (though that could be the neproxin I took last night) and I’m feeling the “urge” to wash my kitchen floor (something I never feel the need to do, to be honest, but because of our exposure, we haven’t been able to have our cleaning lady in). By tomorrow, I might actually be up for some makeup!

Nancy, Brenda and Celesta – thank you all for your good wishes. Today I seem to have turned a corner and I’m starting to feel human again. Tomorrow, I might even rise to some makeup!!!

I’m doing a lot of intense orange paired with deep pink burgundy which is great for my green hazel eyes. I’ve been pulling Coloured Raine palettes for rotation. I did a really nice look with the Berries and Cream palette, but the one that stood out was from QofH palette: Empress = lid smoked into crease, Ladyship = outer vee pulled into empress, Princess = crease. I smoke my shadows, in this case, Ladyship and Empress to my lower lash line.

My first eyeshadow bingo went okay. I put all my colors in a spreadsheet, let the computer assign a random number to each, sorted cells, and used the first 4 in today’s look: reddish browns and a purple. I washed purple over the lid against a taupey crease and deepened with a dark copper. I usually wear that purple as a one-and-done, so the warmth that the addition of a little red brought to my dark eyes was a fun discovery.

Norvina Volatile (dark taupe) lightly in the crease, Nars Code Red (metallic warm dark brown) in the outer corner, Juvia’s Place Faso (lavender-blue shimmer) over the lid, and Juvia’s Place Kesi (beige) as a base. Worn with Nars Deep Throat blush, Urban Decay Streak highlighter and bronzer, and lip balm.

The look I’m wearing today! Because I haven’t worn any makeup in about a year and I’ve finally allowed myself to put colors on my face. UD Born to Run palette: Big Sky (shimmery teal) on my upper lid, Drift (shimmery dark gray) on the outer corner, Hell Ride (matte raspberry) on lower lid and crease, and Wildheart (shimmery raspberry) on inner corner. Then Evergreen Revlon liner on waterline (so good on brown eyes), Fanciful Tarte blush, and Underdawg Fenty lip- I have missed burgundy lipstick!
This was such a fun and soothing exercise.
