Look - Guerlain Charnal and Fleuri for Spring Pastels
This look is from at least a week ago! I actually haven’t worn eyeshadow since this look. You can blame me for being lazy/busy; I think both may apply here and there. 😉
How are you all? I hope everyone’s doing well. I’m in the process of trying to figure out a way to better balance all of the things I need to get done so I can actually start scratching things *off* my to-do list rather than just adding to it. Any tips? 😉
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral base), Guerlain Charnel Eyeshadow (peachy-gold), Guerlain Fleuri Eyeshadow (lavender with gold shimmer), Cranberry eyeshadow (purple-cranberry), Shroom eyeshadow (highlighter), Urban Decay Ransom 24/7 Liner (purple), Plushlash mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Clinique Cherry Blossom Eyeshadow (soft frosty pink)
- Lips: Guerlain Flushy Beige Lipstick (pink-beige), Guerlain Cerise Tentation Gloss (sheer pink)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: N/A
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply Charnel eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Fleuri eyeshadow to the middle of the lid and extend to outer lid. Darken crease with Cranberry eyeshadow using the 226. Sweep Femme-fi underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Ransom on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Cherry Blossom eyeshadow using the 129. Apply Flushy Beige lipstick to lips, and then top with Cerise Tentation gloss for color and shine.

This is really pretty Christine!
Re: your to do list – See if you can prioritize by deadlines or immediacy. That always helps me figure out what to do first and go from there.
Thanks, Shefali! 🙂
I feel like for every one thing I cross off the list, I add five more 🙁
Oh my gosh, this is such a cute look.
I wore my Beautiful Iris with Contrast yesterday, but tomorrow I will create a combination with BI and my Shroom.
Thanks, Nicole! 🙂 Beautiful Iris with Contrast is gorgeous!
this is so cute Christine 🙂
love the lip color on you!!
Thanks, Kristie! 🙂
Oooh I might just have to buy Fleuri after all. 🙂 Also thinking about getting the blue one (was it Indigo?). Very pretty colours.
Fleuri really is pretty, I love it. I think it was Indigo!
The lips are really pretty!
Thanks, Cloudburst!
This is absolutely gorgeous, I love it! I think I may need Charnal and Fleuri now, although I don’t know if they’d look nearly as pretty on me 🙂
Aw,t hanks a lot, Cassidy! 🙂 Charnal is VERY flattering, I think on most people!
Nice, the colors look great on you!
Thanks a bunch, Cynthia!
This is so pretty!
Thank you, Gio!
Hey Christine… how do you get the blue shadow so close to your bottom lash line withour going on to the inner rim, yet still not lower that your lashes? …:)Can you get back to me?
There’s no special technique, it’s just lining there rather than the water line lol. But really, it’s not conscious or anything!
This look is great on you! So pretty!
Thanks, Minnie! 🙂
Great look!!!! The colours are sooo pretty!
Thanks, Andrea! 😀
those colours look great on you! esp like the lip coulour and the fleury shadow…
Thanks, Aradhana! 🙂
Thanks Chrisitne, love the look! The lips are my favorite. Guerlain lip products are very wearable and complements most skin tones!!
Thanks, Ashley! 🙂 I love Guerlain so much!
This is pretty creative and different. I like it!
Thanks, Leigh! 🙂
I find that I’m really starting to like dramatic make-up these days (GUILTY PLEASURE!). I can’t wait for you to do a very dramatic look! This is on the safe side, but very beautiful nonetheless.
Soon, I really need to do one!
Again, I wonder how this would look if you had lined your upper lashline instead…
Unfortunately lining my upper lash line results in slightly swollen lids/itchy eyes, so I rarely do it because I prefer not to suffer through it! Usually if I do it for a look, it means I planned to remove the look shortly after photos 🙂
Oh wow, the Charnel eyeshadow is BEAUTIFUL.
IT IS! It is fabulous, love it so much!
Christine, how do you get the eyeliner right in between your eyelashes on the bottom lid? Mine always just sits on the skin right below the eyelashes.
You could try looking upwards, that might help!
I love you in springy colours 🙂 So fresh and pretty! Perhaps if you aim to complete one thing off your to do list per day you will get through it slowly, and eliminate procrastination!
Thanks, Stacey! 🙂 You know, I don’t think I’m procrastinating, the list just might be too long 🙁
What a pretty Spring look! Somehow lavender eyeshadow like Beautiful Iris will only see the light of days for me at this time of the year. I’ll be off no help with your problem, stop procrastinating is my resolution this year.
Thanks, Jan! 🙂 I like pastels for spring, too.
what is wrong with your skin? i see no problem!
lol, in photos it doesn’t look bad (thankfully!) but in person isn’t quite so.
Christine ,
As Usual – it came out so awesome.
Is there any chance if you can guide us about hair straightning sometime.
Thanks, Shafu! I actually don’t know anything about hair straightening! I’ve never done it.
This is really a great spring look!!! I just bought Charnel (gorgeous!!!!!!) and wore it today with Lotusland. Looked really great but I thought something was missing, and now I see that I needed something darker in the crease, like you had here with Cranberry. Wonder if maybe Satellite Dreams could do it?
Thanks, Andrea! So glad you picked up Charnal – great shade!
Satellite Dreams might work 🙂
Lovely!
Thanks so much!
Pretty very pretty,
Thanks, Andrea!
