What kind of eyeshadow colors are you drawn to?
What shades am I NOT drawn to?! Eyeshadow is my favorite thing! I will be intrigued if there are shades of teal to emerald green, taupe, or burgundy.

I love all the eyeshadow colors! Because I love all colors. BUT I usually love my look even more if I’m wearing purple, green or orange in any of their iterations… and even better if they’re combined together.
Does “sparkly” count as a color? Heh.
Purples are my main weakness. I’m always in search of more cool-toned purples. <3 I also love blue and pink shadows! Green shadows are really appealing in the pan, though I don't always like how they look with my eye color.
I’m most drawn to any multi- and duo- chromes, shimmery blurple and deep blue-based purples, other purples/lavenders, magenta, radiant orchid, reds, greens, teals, chartreuse, metallic golds and bronzes, and rosy neutrals. Brights, neons, and anything really metallic or super shimmery.
I can’t help it a very warm brown gets me every time still
Greeeeeeeens. Especially either the scummiest shades of olive, or a really rich metallic emerald or forest green.
Also weird shades that I’ve just never seen before. Even if I have no idea when I’d ever wear it, I want it, because it’s unique.
Rich bronzes and golds, as well as deep, vibrant blues. But who am I kidding? I love them all.
To me it’s all about the neutrals and greens! I am partial to blue as well ?
I’m drawn to jewel tones – blues, greens, and purples – but I’m not skilled enough to make them look good. If I were sticking with what looks best on me, it would have to be neutrals like browns and pinks.
Purples, plums, teals, olives, golden shades like MAC Woodwinked, and pewters, too Also taupes, especially if the taupe has a hint of purple or rose to it.
Sounds like I need Sydney Grace Enduring Love Deep and Autumn Reign, don’t I? ?
Anything not yellow or red toned, or too neon/bright, or too warm toned.
Truth is I love eyeshadow: neutrals, browns, darker jewel tones (blue, green, cranberry). I’m definitely a taupe fan (could survive on wearing just MAC Satin Taupe all my life) and cool tones eyeshadows will always be my first choice.
I’m drawn to mauves, greys, and taupes. Mauve is probably my fave.
Is that Jealousy Wakes in the thumbnail?! ???
No, it’s Give Me Glow Emerald City.
Taupe and pewter in all their variations (is pewter a variation of taupe?). I love teals but my real weakness is those sludgy bronze-y green shades like MUFE Reptile, the greens in Dior’s Bonne Etoile palette, shades like MAC’s Sumptuous Olive. Oh, and I like bronzey browns too.
Everything in the purple family – violet, lavender, plum, and all the rest! <3
If I were pressed to pick just one it would be green and I am pretty sure, almost anyone here on the blog would know that! I do love purples also, though.
Lately green green green green greeeeeen!!!! But for years now, greens of all sorts, metallic teals, molten golds, pigmented matte purples and if anything is super sparkly shimmery I’m into it!
Like AJ, all greens, from a Swamp Thing to Tinkerbell. Mauves/grays/taupes. Oranges, deeps in purple, burgundy, navy, but prefer them not black based, as they all look black on me.
Everything except yellows, oranges, neons, or pastels.
Anything really except true purple (mauves or lavender are ok) or really warm golds. I like neutrals to slightly warm or slightly cool colors most. Mustard, olive, peach, rosy shades, most metallics are my preferred shades!
Jewel toned metallics and shimmers (everything in Pat McGrath’s Decadence)
Pewter, taupe, and greige metallics, shimmers and mattes
Muted, dusky earthy (khaki, ochre, sienna, dusty teal, murky lavender, etc.) metallics and shimmers
I love ‘chromes (duo-, tri-, etc ) but they would go unused. The shift and sumptuousness would get lost on my lid space.
Being lucky enough to wear both warm and cool tones – I definitely do have my favourites that I am drawn to.
These are: golds – particularly antique golds, olive green, bronze, soft browns, – like UD’s YDK, City Color’s Sandstorm, pewter, teals, a good navy blue shimmer, taupes, rose golds, a forest green and silvery blue shades. I even like some sateen peach shades too – especially in combination with teals, greens and blue.
But it’s the finish that I care about as well – soft shimmer, satin and metallic.
I love deep rich velvety warm browns and golds ,with accents of greens , bronze and bright teals .
Blues, purples and sone greens
Mostly I wear something close to my natural skin tone but love a shiny and/or sparkly finish. Occasionally I’ll get inspired to wear colors like olive green-gold or lavender with sparkles and shine but nothing too dramatic. I love reds but am allergic to carmine and one time when I was wearing red people kept asking me if I was ok and what happened to my eyes?
Greens! Greens! Greens! I’m always on the lookout for my next favorite shade. Also purples – they bring out the richness in my brown eyes.
I love all colors except neon in the pan, especially if it’s shimmer, satin or metallic.
On my eyes what works best is any warm light-med color, and I especially love khaki, olive, gold, apricot, peach, warm pink, violet, blue grey, and warm taupe.
I gravitate towards shades that flatter my skin tone. I’m most excited by shades of blue, burgundy, jewel tones, and warm taupes.
Grassy greens, rose gold, cool-leaning neutrals!
All the purples, shimmery silvers, and cool toned greens!
Emerald greens and cooler purples are my favorite. And of course, anything multichrome. I get seasonal love for reds and rich, warm, wet looking golds and bronzes.
I like them all and will wear them all, no lie. But my favorites are cool neutrals…gray, silver, black, white, and cool browns.
Ha! True, most colors; however, I have “tastes” that I simply just have when I do (can’t really explain, like a mood or a food craving for a period of time). That said, my eyes tend to be drawn most often to (in order): purples, special peacock blue-green colors, anything duo chrome except pinks or champagnes (it’s not that I don’t like them, but less), oranges and yellows (even though I rarely were them, so I try to avoid purchasing them) and special silvers (like the new one in Mario’s palette, the blue-green silvers).
were=wear, sorry!
