Yes I do, and it’s mainly by MAC because I used to think that it’s cheaper than the rest of brands. Not after I compared the vpg (value per gram) of different brands and I realized that it’s more expensive. Now, I’m back to my beloveds Guerlain, Chanel, Dior, and MUFE.

In terms of skin care, there are brands that I like and trust more. So I guess if I had a choice between 2 brands, I would go for my favorite one even though perhaps the other brand could have a better product… As for makeup, I definately sometimes decide based just on the brand… Like recently I decided I wanted a lipgloss by Dior. I really don’t need another lipgloss but bought it because it was Dior…

No, not JUST because of the brand, but often a certain brand will make me more interested because I usually like their products (MAC, MUFE, Lancome mascaras, etc.

i use stuff of many brands. but i sure get tempted to buy a new product from my beloved brands. Trying new products becomes easy…but i don’t stick to only one brand. For e/s n pigments i prefer MAC only. Its difficult to carry one 0r two really beautiful shades of e/s from other brands, as all of them have their own packagings…[too much rambling :)]

when it comes to beauty products, im more likely to be adventurous with a new product from a brand i already trust. as far as make up, im pretty loyal to MAC but if ive heard extraordinary things about another brand and MAC doesnt have anything comparable (quality and price), i’m willing to try it out.

I might not buy it, but I’m definitely always interested to check out stuff by Chanel, Christian Dior, Bobbi Brown, and Shu Uemura. Especially Chanel! *goes weak at the knees* That said, I’ve never regretted any purchases from these brands, but I usually end up regretting purchases from MAC (they’re ok, I just end up feeling I should have saved up for other brands I really LOVE)

I do favour certain brands over others. I always buy middle to higher-end products and there are disappointments with these brands too sometimes! I favour MAC (of course) but also buy from Dior, Chanel, Nars, MakeUp Forever, etc… I have tried Guerlain, Lancome, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and pretty much every brand out there bc I am adventurous (esp. if it’s some funky new concept of a product or if the packaging/colors are interesting and different). If a product has disappointed me, I admit, I’ll be leery to buy again from that brand or, I will try only other products from that brand. I seem to be the pickiest with eye shadows! Therefore I only buy those from Mac, MakeUp Forever, anad Nars. I always check out and swatch new products though just for fun and bc you never know!!…

No, I won’t buy something *just* because it is a particular brand… I do love Dior products but tend to stick to their Dior Kiss lip glosses, eyeshadow quints, and skin shimmers – I do have one of the Harmonie bronzers (in Spicy Desert, because it’s so pretty!) and three or four eyeliners but I don’t like their blushes or foundations much and the lipsticks I find to be pretty standard… I like Chanel glossimers and have a couple of eye quads but my heart is reserved for the Hydrabase lipstick formula!
But, I’ve recently bought $2 nail polish (after spendign $30 on OPI just last week!) and $3 eyeshadow quads from my local dollar store and I have to say I’ve been highly impressed with the quality, pigmentation and staying power. Haven’t had any luck with el cheapo lipgloss formulas, but since I have a squillion Chanel and Dior (and Clinque and Estee Lauder and…) lip colours, it doesn’t really matter. 🙂
