I just received my second Clionadh order, which contained lots of Multichromes! This post features swatches of all eight Clionadh Hybrid Multichrome Eyeshadows ($17.00 CAD each), which is supposed to be between the brand’s Jewelled Multichromes and Glitter Multichromes–they have “small/medium particle glitters but with the tones of our Jewelled Multichromes.”

They lack a blackened base, so they can be easier/more forgiving to work with per the brand, which I definitely found true. They still offered a lot of dimension, and in some ways, I felt like they had more dimension because there was a very visible, multichromatic shift along with dimensional sparkle/twinkle at every angle.

Hi Christine (or anyone else choosing to weigh in): I’m finding the Clionadh offers super overwhelming. I have elected to stay away from the ND liquid multichromes because of concerns of them cracking on my mature lids and they are an expensive mistake to make. Do you have any specifics (type, colour) which you think may suit my purposes. I would be using just for mid lid highlight wanting to jazz up a matte look without raising too much texture. I’m on the Clionadh website and my mind has exploded.

If you’re looking for more of a highlighting effect that’s not super glittery… the Iridescents seem to be a good pick. I have only tried one from Series 2 (which, AFAIK, is basically more shifting than the Series 1). I love Series 1 for adding a pop of iridescent, shift, and some sheen; this finish works well for layering, too.

Some of the lighter Glitter Multichromes might work, too. Shades like Chandelier, Ripple, Sunbeam, and Translucency are a bit lighter and smoother so they’ll have shift, brighten, but will be less glittery.

Both Iridescents and Glitters are going to be more buildable than Vibrants/Hybrids/Jewelled.

I ended up ordering Angie Nyquist bundle as I watched her video and liked most all of it. After waiting over 5 months for my order I’ve only used 1 shadow twice a blueish purple color. It is super bright and very crumblely( is that a word?

I patted it on gently and wet brush but the fall out was remarkable and I never usually have fall out and lasted thruout the day. I also do my eyes first. The 2 Nd time I used glitter glue. They are really pretty but I don’t really like that bright an eye look.

They are so pretty to look at but a waste of $100 for me.

I agree with you, Janine. I struggled a lot with fall out from this brand and I’m trying to find a good technique that will give me the best results. I use PMG and ND with no issues so I can’t justify ordering from Clionadh again, especially from Europe.
