ColourPop Wild Nothing Collection Swatches
ColourPop Wild Nothing Collection released last week and includes a new eyeshadow palette, five Lux Lip Oils, four Creme Shadows, three Pressed Powder Blushes, and two Jelly Much Shadows. I was surprised at how light the eyeshadow palette ran, and then even more surprised that with three blushes, they didn’t release at least one deeper shade.
This is the only time I am not in any way tempted to buy their palette! The shimmer shades look too similar, as are a few of the light coral shades. It would have been nice if they had thrown in a couple of olive green, khaki sort of shades. I think they have done this type of warm-neutral shades to death, it’s time to do something different.
Oh, that sounds like a palette I would buy, agree on combining with those kinds of greens would be nicer! 🙂
I definitely would have preferred more cactus-y greens in there.
I have a feeling I may come to regret last week’s impulse purchase!
Me too, AJ. I’m thinking these colours are not going to show up on me at all.
They’ll at least show up on me because I’m very pale, but they’re going to be more subtle than I like, I think.
Well, my order is supposed to arrive at the end of the week, we’ll see how I feel when I have it in hand. Maybe I’ll enjoy a simple swipe of a neutral color as a pick-me-up at home.
The palette is pretty, but it looks like a softer version of She’s Got Solstice with a couple browns thrown in. The lip products all look like nothing. I still find the blushes to be the most interesting part of the collection.
Other than Crossroads blush and the Cream eyeshadows, I’m now not all that interested in this collection. That eyeshadow palette *could* have been a winner had it switched out one of those warm mid-tone shades in the bottom row for a rich olive matte shade and traded one of the light golden shimmers for a deeper khaki or more olive shimmer.
I almost ordered this over the weekend. Glad I passed. There isn’t even a green in the palette. I think I have enough greens anyway lets be honest. I don’t need anymore. LOL.
This looks really soft and pretty, but I think I’m more than covered with my LimeCrime Venus XL2 palette – and then some.
I am fair enough that most eyeshadow palettes are a bit dark for me; I always have to bring in a lighter single or two to supplement the palette, and then typically get very little to no usage from the deepest shades. I think this palette will be too light for most complexions, but I am very glad I ordered it because I think it will be a good fit for me. Fingers crossed it ends up working as well as I hope it will!
I’m quite tempted with this palette: the ingredients list show no cyclopentasiloxane in the super shock shadow pans which has quite me surprised–bc all the singles seem to have it so I’m looking forward to this. These are also colors I would use regularly with other palettes. I can’t use the creme shadows bc of that aforementioned ingredient or the lip oils bc I’m allergic to soy. Maybe the jelly shadows–I love those.
My last couple of Colourpop purchases have not excited me and I have barely used the products. Looking at the swatches for this collection leaves me ambivalent too. I’m barely wearing makeup so there’s that as well ?
Nope, this palette doesn’t impress me at all – the shades all look too insipid for my liking. The blushes might be OK….
I might be the odd one out but I like this palette! It has a good vibe for a casual look for me that’s not too basic and neutral.
Too bad this doesn’t have some greens and pinks/oranges to represent cactuses. Deserts aren’t all brown, after all
I’m as pale as they come. This is boring. I don’t want it. Even pale people prefer color and would prefer to buy from ranges that are inclusive, CP.
