Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Most recent favorite eye product? it’s a toss up between Nars Alhambra (wearing it again today; it’s so perfect for my needs during the pandemic) and Dior Jungle 5-pan, which is such a fantastic grouping of shadows.
Latest rediscovery? Sephora Diving in Malaysia and Snakeskin Dress liners (both d/c’d some time ago, unfortunately, but they’ve stayed in good shape far longer than the Marc Jacobs pencils I bought)
Product you finished? well, I’m almost finished yet another tube of Embryolisse, if that counts, as well as a little nubbin of Sephora Cappuccino pencil liner (still long enough to sharpen but only barely)
Your skin tone/coloring: ^ but tbh there is a lot of blue in my skin too so who knows. Is this “cool olive?” Is cool olive a real thing? I don’t like my matches too pink because I’m trying to cover/neutralize redness and I definitely don’t want them too orange, so I like them to pull very slightly green-beige. ?♀️
Most recent favorite eye product? Terra Moons Iridescent Chameleons. They are by FAR the best duochrome/shimmers I’ve ever tried.

Product you finished? MUFE Full Cover concealer
There’s a blogspot called musicalhouses that addressed Asian skintones that explained olive, cool olive, etc quite well, I think. It’s oldish, but the explanations (of a very tricky thing) are pretty clear. Good photos, too. The principles work fine for Non-Asian tones as well. Not sure about deeper tones. It’s a fascinating read.
All colors can be cool or warm even though some brands may not bring it up. There IS “cool olive” and even “cool yellow.”

Product you finished? I think I have one use left in the mini Milk Kush mascara sample I have. I haven’t been wearing much MU for the last several months, so I haven’t been finishing anything at all.

Glad to hear Dior Jungle is working out—several of those quints have been tempting me.
Nyah, nyah! I still have a snakeskin dress pencil in shrink wrap, in the refrigerator. When I knew it was being d/c’d, backed up, baby. Lol, really, not snarkiness. But when a unique fave is due for d/c, that’s the time for a backup.
I also got backups for both of those when I saw which way the wind was blowing but haven’t had to open them yet. The ones I had and had been using did go a bit “draggy” so I resorted to my tried and true “put a drop of Inglot Duraline on the tip, cap it and store it upright so the Duraline kind of soaks in/dribbles down” and they’re good as new. I was hoping this would work for the Marc Jacobs liners but while it helped briefly, they were back to unusable in a very short time.
The Dior quints ARE pricey (even more so here in Canada) and I’m tempted by one and possibly two more but if I could only get one, it would be Jungle. It is really lovely and really wearable/adaptable.

Latest rediscovery? Add to the last question this: Chanel Empriente du Desert quad. A look I did last Friday using it made me remember why I love this quad so much; it literally looks like molton metal on the lids! Chanel, if you’re reading this, please add this glorious quad to your permanent lineup?
Product you finished? Mostly skincare; Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid & Retinol Eye Serum. And another Smashbox Fishnet Always On Eye Pencil.
Almost every time someone mentions the E du D quad, the question of why Chanel hasn’t make it permanent comes up. It is such a stunning and high quality quad.

Favorite eye product: My Sydney Grace e/s. I had resisted purchasing for so long and am really happy that I finally caved.
Latest rediscovery: Desi and Kati Harpoon e/s. It isn’t the greatest in performance but with a good primer it works well.
Finished product: These days about the only thing I finish is skin care and I finished my Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic and Retinol Eye Serum.

– Armani neo nude foundation (for me, basically a tinted moisturizer); pass
– NARS soft matte foundation (really like it, holds up to them mask) purchase
-Alterna Caviar shampoo and conditioner (super nice!) purchase
– Chanel Gabrielle perfume (nice; kind of heavy but nice)
– NARS Laguna bronzer (nice; prefer the Marc Jacobs)
-Chanel Le Volume mascara (love this; purchased often)
-Living Proof Mask (its ok, but overpriced for what it is, IMHO) pass

Most recent favorite eye product? e.l.f. Bite Size quad in Hot Jalapeño. The two matte greens fade after about 5 hours but that is generally long enough for me these days. It’s the best set of greens I have found.
Latest rediscovery? My two Melt singles in Antique and Amelie. They make for a quick neutral look that works with glasses.
Product you finished? I just finished a tube of Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen. I am a day or two away from finishing a Too Faced Concealer that I use on my eyelids.
Love that sunscreen!!

Most recent favourite eye product? Glow Recipe Avocado retinol eye cream and Maybelline Full & Soft waterproof mascara, which is finally available here, yay!
Latest rediscovery? I’ve been wearing all my original Rouge G lipsticks recently – I dipped them in isopropyl alcohol to disinfect them but they were fine. I forgot how much I adored Gracia!
Product you finished? Wet n Wild Brulee, it’s my go to browbone shade. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever actually finished a proper colour product.

Most recent favorite eye product? Mac Paint Pot- got it for half price (unheard of in the UK) and I just love how it works with my eyeshadow. Otherwise I picked up Pat McGrath Celestial in the sale and love the shade as a one and done on me

How wonderful! Rose Gold is one I really wanted, and it was always out of stock everywhere. I have Royal, Orchid, Heaven, and Hell. Royal is still one of the best blue-based purples I own, if not the best.
Oh those Ardency Inn pigments are so good! I need to use mine!!

Latest rediscovery? The Covergirl Trublend Serving Sculpt Contour Palette in “Bloom Babe”. I bought the face palette mainly for the blush, but the bronzer in the palette surprised me as well. It’s a very soft, blendable formula
Product you finished? Most recently, a bottle of Bioderma’s Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution (the combo/oily skin version). Makeup-wise the last item I used up was the Tom Ford Emotionproof Mascara

Latest rediscovery…Cat Cosmetics. I was destashing and it was buried. Over 12 years old and even older swatches…amazing. I reordered a customized kit. I built and replaced what I consider my basics…a cool, warm and neutral transition shades as well as basic lid and brow colors. It has become a staple like mascara and decreases frustrations/expectations with palettes that didn’t give me everything. It kind of opened up possibilities for them. I actually ordered a second kit that should arrive tomorrow. This was a brand created by Catherine Hickland that used to review cosmetics in a Soap magazine before the Internet. My friend used collect those clipped reviews. It’s how I discovered her.
I also discovered I can move pans around in my ND palettes. That is big too. Making the palettes a new fave. It’s kind of like a rediscovery.
I finished a Dr Brandt water mask and replaced. But most of all, I finished working for my former time. I’m allowed to now have time. I am getting a pedicure tomorrow and use us at least of my half my gift GC which will expire in Dec.
