Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Last product that tempted you? Natasha Denona Glam Palette and Sydney Grace Tiny Marvel’s for items that have already been released and reviewed.

Last collection you thought was well done? MAC x Selena #2 last spring! I still use all 3 items I bought from it on the regular.

Last collection that was a flop for you? UD Stoned Vibes…good grief. Cannot make up my mind what I hated most, the spiritistic pseudoscience crap or the iffy performance of the shadows. Still interested in the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils that were released with it, however.

Last product that tempted you? Neogen’s RE:P Nutrinature Ultra All-in- One Multitem. They had a half-off sale for labor day and free shipping for $30 or more. It was all I needed, so I bought two!
Last collection you thought was well done? Bésame’s I Love Lucy collection was really well thought out, as is true with most of their limited collections.
Last collection that was a flop for you? Pretty much everything from Colourpop since the Sailor Moon collection, but especially that collection. It turned me off of the entire brand. The lenticular packaging was a cool idea for that 90s vibe, but not the right imagery. As someone who grew up with the series, I was expecting more given that it was targeted at nostalgic millennials.

Last product that tempted you? I would say the new Dior palettes. I always pick up a couple and this year I like them all so not sure which one I am getting but I will get one of them.
Last collection you thought was well done? Honestly, I can’t remember one that I really loved all the products I purchased and quite a few I only purchased one product so not really able to address the whole, or near whole collection. I picked up the 999 blush, lipstick, nail polish and e/s quint from Dior several year ago and loved all the products. I also picked up the “new” 999 blush from last year. But originally the 999 lipstick was a warm red, the e/s quint was a set of greys and the blush was a lighter pink shade. I like both of the blushes, the older pink and the newer coral red. It is the only “coral” blush I have used that I really loved.

Last collection that was a flop for you? Oh dear, so many. The Fenty Christmas release year before last. I can’t even remember the name. I blocked it out as it was that bad. Almost any collection released by Too Faced and 5 out of 6 MAC collections. It seems it is easier to do a bad collection than a good one.

Last product that tempted you? Charlotte Tilbury’s newer Rebel e/s palette and those lovely Dior 5-pans!
Last collection you thought was well done? probably the new eyeshadow release from Dior
Last collection that was a flop for you? I don’t really follow collections all that much but what I saw from UD the other day (y’know, the magical “bad vibe repelling tourmaline” one) is one I’d consider.

Last products that tempted you? Tom Ford quads Visionaire and Meteoric, Pat McGrath sale

Last collection you thought was well done?
MAC Glow Play. I like that it was a small edit, I like the products and I like the colors offered. That’s as close to cream blush as I’ve gotten and I really enjoy the formula.

Fenty Beaty Cream Blush and Bronzers – Gorgeous, punchy colors and I almost bought these and would have had I not juuuuust bought the MAC Glow Play collection the week before.

Last collection that was a flop for you? None, thanks to Temptalia!

Last product that tempted you? Contemplating Natasha Denona Glam palette. But I just bought a ridiculously expensive enamelled cast iron casserole pot so it will have to wait, ha ha.

Last collection you thought was well done? Colourpop Garden Variety.

Last collection that was a flop for you? The huge Norvina pigment palettes – too much, too close together, it was just overwhelming.

Last product that tempted you? Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Palettes (I’m tempted by either Pink Organza or Denim).
Last collection you thought was well done? The fall collection by Dior.
Last collection that was a flop for you? In general, I do not follow the collections issued by various brands, and I’ve never purchased an entire collection. Some collections simply do not “speak” to me from an aesthetic perspective, message, target market etc. but I cannot say that they are a flop because of that.

Last product that tempted you? The ND Glam palette

Last collection you thought was well done? None of the recent collections have totally appealed to me, but the closest has been Dior’s recent quint releases. I have liked the colour stories in these.

Last collection that was a flop for you? Definitely UD’s Stoned palette – what a disaster that is.

Last product that tempted you? Pat McGrath Supreme and the Selena Gomez dewy primmer
Last collection you thought was well done? Fenty Cheeks Out. MAC Powder Kiss spoke to me too. Great colors especially the eyeshadows.
Last collection that was a flop for you?i have to be honest I’m usually pretty meh about launches considered as a whole. MAC Teyana Taylor was a disappointment though because I had excepted to love it

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.

Last product that tempted you? The new Kaleidos Cosmetics 6-pan palettes.

Last collection you thought was well done? The Kaleidos Escape Pod collection… everything in that collection was beautiful and got great reviews, and I’m still tempted by it.

Last collection that was a flop for you? ND Glam palette.

Last product that tempted you? The Melt blush duos. I love blushes that can double as highlighters, and Melt is a brand I’ve been meaning to try

Last collection you thought was well done? I can think of a few. The Colourpop Garden Variety on the more affordable side, the MAC Bronze Collection on the higher-end

Last collection that was a flop for you? Urban Decay Stoned Vibes. I actually liked the color story and I’m a fan of brands experimenting with new formulas, but everything else, especially the presentation, turned me off the collection

Jen Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool toned
Last product that tempted you? The Melt Digital Duo blushes. It has to do with their presentation, I think. They’re very intriguing. I’m also curious about Selena Gomez’ new brand. I haven’t seen too many reviews yet but that there are considerations for accessibility makes me hope that they’re good.
Last collection you thought was well done? I’m really liking Fenty’s cream blushes and bronzers. They’ve been easy to use and are pretty forgiving.
Last collection that was a flop for you? A lot of the recent Colourpop releases have felt very milquetoast.

Last product that tempted you? Pat McGrath Rose Decadence, the 6 pan ::tempted is putting it mildly. “Bosom-heaving desire” might be more accurate?::
Last collection you thought was well done? This might be just me(?), I think the TF pumpkin palette from last month is pretty cute. A tiny bit dusty on the mattes but the pigmentation is working for me, I think ☺️
Last collection that was a flop for you? UD Stoned Vibes was such a miss for me, bleh. Especially after I liked ultraviolet Naked so much…wouldn’t mind some more purple stuff for holiday, tbh.
