Haul: Natasha Denona Metropolis palette and Mini Bloom Blush, Em Cosmetics Magic Hour Blush and Faded Clementine Infinite Lip Cloud.

Rediscoveries: Natasha Denona Mini Bronze & Glow. The perfect bronzer for my skin tone. Does anyone know if she sells that particular shade in a full size? It’s labeled as a blush on the back of the packaging.

Weekend plans: Doing some laundry and cleaning and hopefully getting outside! And of course, more of the same, sans having to work on top of it all.

What was your favorite movie growing up?: The Little Mermaid, and my dad said that me and my siblings went thru a period where we watched The Wizard of Oz several times a day and acted it out scene by scene. He got so tired of watching it, he destroyed the tape, LOL. ? The child part of me says “how dare you?!?” the parent part of me totally understands. If I have to watch Pixar Cars or a video about Disney buses ONE MORE TIME…

Mariella Avatar

Oh gosh – back before there was video tape or DVDs or streaming, The Wizard of Oz would come on TV once a year and EVERYONE, it seemed, got to stay up late to watch it. Like you, I was also terrified of the flying monkeys and of the scene where the Wicked Witch of the West melts because Dorothy throws the bucket of water. “I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too….”

Rachel R. Avatar

LOL. My oldest son (now 25 years old) was so obsessed with the Little Mermaid, TNBC, the Aristocats, and Disney movies in general that I can still sing along with their soundtracks. If VCRS/DVD/Blu-Ray had been around when I was a kid, I probably would have been exactly the same way, though. Like Mariella mentioned, we had to wait once a year for movies to play on TV.

Genevieve Avatar

Is the weather reasonable enough for you and your little one to go outside? It’s been cold and wet here in Melbourne Aus. My daughter in law is in a state of exhaustion trying to ‘homeschool’ the 6 and 4 year old. We are not allowed to drive out of our suburb and she would love to take the kids on some nature trails not really far away, but just out of the area.

Mariella Avatar

Haul: a new faucet for the kitchen and some Rowenta iron cleaner – I’ve been sewing masks and the fabric gunked up the bottom of my iron, even with a press cloth! Do these things count? Beauty-wise, my rms beauty Buriti bronzer and the bottle of YTTP Macqui Oil that I ordered for my sis in law’s birthday arrived and I also got a sample of Tocca Florence perfume. I’m sort of on the fence about it but hubs likes it so I might get it during the VIB Rouge discount.
Weekend plans: my sis in law (who has been socially isolating too) is coming to garden with me and stay for dinner tomorrow. I want to do some sort of workout in the basement and go for a walk. And I’ve 25 more masks to make!
Favourite movie growing up: I can’t even remember, to be honest. I never liked things where animals were hurt or died (Bambi, Old Yeller – heck, when my kids were young, I didn’t even want to take them to see Homeward Bound! Actually, now that I think about it, it was probably The Nun’s Story (odd choice, I know….but I adored Audrey Hepburn even when I was a pre-teen)

Mariella Avatar

I think I fell in love with her in Charade (set in Paris and with Cary Grant – I mean, who could resist). I saw it at the theatre with a friend when I was pretty young and was enchanted with her and then wanted to see everything she’d been in up til then (and, of course, afterward as well). Like you, my young self was disappointed that she went off with Bogie (was his name Linus?) but as I matured, the choice made much more sense. Have you seen The Nun’s Story?

Mariella Avatar

I hope you get to see it soon. It’s an amazing film and story, set against the backdrop of WWII and dealing with a nun (Hepburn) who struggles through her whole time in the convent against her “pride”. Dames Peggy Ashcroft and Edith Evans are both in it, as well as a lot of other great actors from “back in the day”. Just an amazing film.

Genevieve Avatar

I remember that film! My mum loved it, so we watched it when it was on TV.
Are you getting a lot chat on local media re the homeschool learning Mariella? There was a wonderful article in our newspaper today about the joys of homeschooling (not). And how it all unravelled at 9.05 when she (the author of the article) and her three children had different versions of the login to the school’s portal. Her final comment was that’s its best to have the wine bottles hidden when in conference with your child’s teacher and to turn the microphone off when someone (especially you) is having a meltdown. I laughed so much – all so true.

Mariella Avatar

Genevieve, as a supply teacher, it’s not something I have to deal with at all. But I get all the teaching staff emails about online learning requirements, etc. My daughter teaches in a French Immersion elementary school and she has had to put lessons online. When I asked her about it, she said a lot of parents (many of whom don’t speak French) are going to be very ticked. A teacher on the news here said he doesn’t want students going to their parents for help but rather to try to figure things out on their own and/or to post or discuss in the classroom site he’d set up. I’m glad I’m well out of it. My daughter went me a funny Instagram or Facebook post that said “I’m 30 minutes into home schooling my 6 year old. I suggest that all school teachers are paid 1 million pounds per year from now on!” It made me chuckle.

Genevieve Avatar

That is one of the reasons I loved being an emergency teacher (as we call supply teachers over here) – not having to face the meetings, emails, reviews etc. I think the parents of the French Immersion school are going to find helping their kids to be pretty tricky. I love the comment your daughter sent to you.
One online comment from a father thatI read over the weekend stated that ‘he now knew what his son’s teacher meant when she said that he lacked the perseverence to finish his work’ The father resolved to take a much tougher line with his son…..

Haul: For the past few weeks, the only things I’ve bought besides groceries are Kindle books. I won’t be buying any makeup, shoes, clothing, etc. until the pandemic is over.

Weekend plans: Just more of the same. I am normally a homebody and a bit of an introvert, so this really isn’t as bad for me as it is for some people. I have a Zoom happy hour tonight with a couple of friends and another Zoom get-together tomorrow. Both are good excuses to put on makeup, especially lipstick, which I can’t wear out anymore because of masks. Also, I want to see if I can figure out how to use my sewing machine so I can make my own masks. I know how to crochet, but not sew. Too bad you can’t use a crochet mask! ?

What was your favorite movie growing up? The Parent Trap (1961) and The Time Machine (1960). Both were great movies that had inferior remakes.

kjh Avatar

Just make sure the fabric you choose is breathable. You’ll likely be doing two layers. A regional day job/day hab manager gifted us some. Mine is adorable, with Harry Potter symbols on black and cute heart straps. I wore it to retail tonight, and thought I would pass out. You really cannot breathe through it. Great generosity, but actually quite poorly thought out. It’ll look good hanging from the rear view mirror, but I’m sticking to the standard synthetic paper ones.

Seraphine Avatar

A friend of a friend works in a hospital. Their mask supply is so low they’re only allowed one mask per day, which is pretty horrifying. (These are medical staff that do not work directly with the COVID-19 patients.) This woman makes fabric masks with pockets so a paper mask can slip inside. That way the paper masks can be reusable, but the fabric masks can be washed. She makes them for herself and her medical coworkers. She is making one for me, so I’m sure it will be breathable. I am assuming it will be cotton.

OMG Smellan is so wonderfully low key in the morning. My two young corgis are INSANE.

I have nothing to contribute in terms of haul, or weekend plans as the weather has shifted back to winter ????

Favourite movie growing up: Anything by Alfred Hitchcock, but probably The Birds would be my fav from my youth. We watched a lot of older black and white films and Mildred Pierce was/still is a favourite too.

AJ Avatar

Young corgis are always insane, that’s what they do best 🙂

Mine is 13 years old and is having a bit of a second puppyhood, but she does sleep a lot more than she did when she was younger (she was 1.5 when we adopted her).

kjh Avatar

I read and/or saw Mildred Pierce three times at radically different times in life, 8th grade, college, and ~45. (The Joan Crawford noir, not the remake.) I had RADICALLY different reactions. James M. Cain books were my jr high fodder. And The Birds, omg, was totally embarrassed to be at the movies with my PARENTS, when a former classmate was there with a DATE, and I realized I was two social niveaux below…. I was quite scornful until the gas station scene, and then forgot my social humiliation, and was TERRIFIED.

Kira Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: Rediscovery – deep brown eyeshadow on the lid, with a swipe of Pat McGrath Beyond Bronze 003 in the center of the lid! I saw this on Alicia’s Youtube (kinkysweat). I’ve been rediscovering all of my orange-y mattes, bronze, and copper shades lately.
Weekend plans: Digitize some recipes to share with friends. I also want to start two watercolor ideas I had – I want to work on a large painting of lilies from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and a small painting of my favorite scene from a TV show.
What was your favorite movie growing up? The Mummy!

Kira Avatar

It’s very cheesy/pop culture, but I’m it’s a scene from the reality show Terrace House. There is one Italian, who learns Japanese, studies manga illustration, and does training at manga studios and eventually gets a deal to publish a manga series with a major national publisher! It’s huge and unprecedented that he was able to get so far in the Japanese comic industry. He goes to live in the house with other castmates, and works extremely intensely on his manga while he’s there for the the season that he’s on the show. At the end of his stay, they show him going to a convenience store to buy his manga, and his reaction as he sees his name in print in Japanese for the first time. I cried my eyes out and was super inspired by his story, as another outsider to Japanese culture who has struggled with the language and culture, and who has been inspired by Japanese art in my illustration and art world work.

The video is beyond adorable! Love the little nose bop on Mellan ?

Haul: Another week of nothing! But I do have a game plan for next week and the week after.

Weekend plans: No real set plans to do anything other than listen to my meeting on Sunday through Zoom. The days are all just running together now. I’ve got a bad case of cabin fever, as I’m sure many other readers do as well. It feels so weird with the Sephora VIB Rouge sale taking place, but the stores are all closed. I enjoy going into the store and swatching different products to make my final decisions. Oh well, what are you going to do? It is what it is.

Favorite movie while you were growing up? The Sound of Music vs The Wizard of Oz. Loved both, but for different reasons each. When it comes down to it I believe that The Sound of Music was probably my all-time favorite growing up.

Ana Maria Avatar

Haul:
MAC: Mini of the False Lashes Extreme Mascara. Since I haven’t purchased make-up in a long while, I run out of my free sample mascaras from Sephora. I actually like better mascara minis, I work better with smaller packages and wands.
Paula’s Choice (replacements for products finishing soon): Clear Purifying Clay Mask, Youth Extending SPF 50, minis of the Clinical 1% Retinol and Super Antioxidant Serum (I like my actives minis, so they are ‘fresh’) and I got as free full size of the Niacinamide booster.

Rediscoveries: MAC/Estee Lauder group bloting powders and how great they make my make-up look without being cakey. I just finished the Maybelline SuperStay powder, I knew I didn’t like it… but I know realised how bad it was.

Weekend plans: The same boring quarantine routine…

What was your favorite movie growing up?: It was an Italian dubed movie series (can’t recall if the movie was actually Italian) with a princess that went on adventures, cut her hair short, I think she fell in love with a pirate or something, she was fighting a bad wizard… it’s so bad I can’t remember the name…

Ana Maria Avatar

Come to think, it was quite similar to the Arabela series (a Czech TV show), but without the time traveling to modern age… My mom’s generation grew up with that movie in the communist era. 😀

TropicalCowgirl Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: I broke down and got ND Biba. First palette of the year. I plan on trying today.

Weekend plans: Kicking off at end of work day: we are having a work virtual happy hour. Then shopping for food. Tomorrow: Make a batch of soup. I’m having a rough time with how much. My 20 yr old stepson is with us at the moment and loves his junk frozen food. He’ll claim he will do left overs, then doesn’t, which my husband does the same with all the tempting junk. I have had heredity driven high cholesterol all my life so I watch what I eat so I don’t have to start taking meds. I hate having to throw away food as I do not have freezer space with all the burritos, corndogs, ice cream and pizza. I then will make something healthy just for me and then they eat everything and I’m left with no food. Not consistent at all. I just have to remind myself we are blessed and this is temporary.

What was your favorite movie growing up? I loved Dot and the Kangaroo and Pete’s Dragon. I was basically had my brother who is 7 years younger with me all the time in my teens. He would watch movies over and over because I had to take him with me to my job at a movie theater. I remember happily taking him when I was off work to watch Goonies. I think with me alone he watched it 7 times, not counting on the times he watched while I worked.

Genevieve Avatar

How absolutely, totally annoying for you to deal with all of these food issues at the moment. Junk frozen food would have to be the worse kind of food anyone can eat; in fact I wonder if there is anything real in it at all – just fats, sugars and a bunch of chemical ingredients. No wonder you are tearing your hair out. And of course, the fresh food you make is so much better, tastier and healthier than what the others in your household have chosen.
I think you will need a medal for bravery or courage under fire when this is all over.

TropicalCowgirl Avatar

I don’t know about a medal for bravery, maybe patience. It has actually made me more appreciative of the people I work with. I’m with a huge telecommunications company and we’ve been screaming busy.

My husband is begging me to help his 28 yr old with acne that has blown up. She’s been with us transitioning to a new job for around 6 months. It has blown up. She’s a gorgeous girl but used very heavy foundation. She’s been eating that junk on top of it. They bake cookies every night. Between that and the makeup…it’s no wonder.

Genevieve Avatar

It sounds like you have a very full household happening there. I think little kids are easier to deal with.
I think your step daughter really needs your help/advice re makeup, diet etc. A visit to the doctor to get her acne under control would be in order. But you can’t tell a 28 year old what to do, even if it’s common sense…..
Eating junk and baking cookies – OMG.

AJ Avatar

Awwww, sleepy Mellan. That’s how I’ve been feeling most mornings too!

Haul: Well I just splurged during the Sephora Rouge sale. I’ve been wanting the Viktor&Rolf Magic Sage perfume since I impulsively spritzed myself with it at a fancy Sephora in NY a year and a half ago. They never have it at the Sephoras out here, but I always look because I always want to wear it again and it’s too spendy. Only comes in a huge bottle. Well, I’m not going to get to go out and do anything special for my birthday, so this is my gift to myself instead! I also got some FAB Ultra Repair Cream for my spouse (who claims they are “almost out” despite having half a large tube, but OK), and I chose the Bum Bum Cream for my Sephora birthday gift.

Also, not beauty related but I ordered a big ring light and a room divider for the corner of my dance room (to hide the pill of fitness clutter there), so I can make nicer videos since it seems like all my dance shows will be virtual for a while.

Weekend plans: More staying home! I’ve got my now-usual Sat and Sun online classes to go to. Other than that… yard work I guess? Play some video games, watch some shows (maybe watch Parasite on Hulu), read some books, do some crafting, play a board game, make cocktails. Think I’m going to make the Earl Grey infused gin I’ve been wanting to make, and we can have Earl Grey Sours sometime this weekend.

Favorite movie growing up: I mean it depends on my age, I was a pretty fickle kid, but Labyrinth remains an enduring fave.

AJ Avatar

Yes! It’s very easy. First you need to make the earl grey infused gin.
I filled a mason jar with gin and put about 2 generous teaspoons of loose leaf Earl Grey tea into a fillable teabag, because that’s what I had, but the recipe called for normal Earl Grey teabags so you can use that. Let it sit for one hour and remove the tea — if you leave it for too long it will get bitter.

To make the cocktail:
2 parts Earl Grey infused gin
1 part fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1 part simple syrup
Optional: 1 egg white or approx 2 tablespoons aquafaba (the liquid from canned chickpeas)

If you are using the aquafaba or skipping the optional ingredients, you just put everything in a shaker tin, half-fill it with ice, shake for about 15 secs, and strain into a chilled glass.

If you are using an egg white, put everything in the shaker with NO ICE and shake for 30-45 secs. Then add ice and shake for an additional 15 secs to chill, then strain into a chilled glass.

I got the recipe from a book called Sip: 100 Gin Cocktails, but I modified it to use the aquafaba because I had a bad experience the last time I tried to use eggwhite, lol.

Enjoy!

Rediscoveries: an old blush in a miniature Tokidoki palette a friend gave me ages ago for my birthday. It remains one of the most pigmented blushes I’ve ever owned! I still haven’t hit pan on it as you barely have to touch it with a brush. It’s still so soft and blendable, a super fun pink-coral with some shimmer.

Weekend plans: playing indoor fetch with the cat, cleaning, working some, painting, and video chats.

Favorite movie growing up: Star Wars. I was a kid when they re-released it in theaters; it’s the earliest movie experience I can really remember. Me and my little friend sat there with a popcorn bigger than we were and I was immediately, completely, hopelessly obsessed. (Still am!)

Lesley Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: I bought some odds and ends during the Ulta sale but no makeup except a Cover Girl mascara in black brown to cover white hairs that pop up in my eyebrows. I haven’t found a brow product that accomplishes that. I put in my Sephora order this morning, mainly replacements of grooming items but also one Supergoop Shimmershade Eye Shadow in a bronze shade. No rediscoveries. I wore the same things this week as I wore last week.

Weekend plans: I have a few virtual drinks dates via Zoom. Otherwise nothing planned. We went to the farmers market and did our grocery shopping earlier in the week.

What was my favorite movie growing up? I don’t think I had one but given my age, it would have had to be one of the Disney cartoon classics such as Lady and the Tramp or Peter Pan.

kjh Avatar

He is the cutest thing ever born. Older dogs love resting so much. Jussi used to jump up and off the too high bed. Now I pick him up at 5A, and he’s like overcooked spaghetti! Did do an Ulta SH order, but no color cos, all bath and body. Afraid I might succumb to Safari @ 71$. I reread your review (A- overall) and get really swayed by biiiig bargains. Plans: still working, both jobs today. It has been cold and windy here, too much for yard work. Reading, housework with podcasts, maybe even watch Tiger King, as Netflix is open to all, for now. Kid movie? No surprise here: Lady and the Tramp. Even then, I took a dog over a princess.

Dandy Avatar

Haul: Picked up a Wet & Wild brow mascara at the supermarket(!!) as my Anastasia brow gel is running out, and it’s… really good! Just slightly lighter than the Anastasia, so I can use it equally easily on the ‘stache and the eyebrows, and it’s got real hold – keeps the long hairs out of my mouth without having to pull out the stache wax.

Weekend plans: If it stops raining I’m going to dig holes in the garden.

Genevieve Avatar

If Mellon was a bit tired this morning, does it mean that he was awake during the night?

Haul: I ordered another Maybelline Spice for Me lipstick (which I can only get from the States – boo hiss) and that’s about it.
Rediscoveries: After using quite a few of the palettes/quints that I normally use, I am now starting to delve into the ones I only rarely use. So it’s Guerlain’s Les Vertes for today.

Weekend Plans: OK, well I’ve cleaned out my kitchen cupboards and getting ready (brave) to tackle the pantry. We have a big pantry, so it’s not a job for the feint hearted.
Just a bit of essential shopping too.
I’ve been helping out my daughter in law with school work relevant to Olivia’s age and stage, particularly in mathematics. I have a huge amount of resources still at home, particular maths and spelling games. The interesting things is that Lachlan (who is 4) can do the maths games as well – he is really good at his maths (like his dad was).
This whole homeschooling is pretty difficult when parents are also trying to do their own work from home as well. Little (and even bigger) kids need your undivided attention. I think there will be a renewed respect for teachers when this is over.

Favourite Movie growing up – The Sound of Music!

TropicalCowgirl Avatar

I don’t understand why in Australia things are so hard to get and so pricey. I have a work friend who came here for two weeks work. The first time he hung out with us on the weekend and got close with my husband and became friends. We ordered a cool laptop for his wife on our account…it would have almost cost double! The second time he brought his wife and I took her to Drugstores, Sephora and Ulta. I am not kidding when I say she bought thousands for her and her friends. She told me it was like shopping with a 30-40% discount. I actually thought of you when she here last year.

We had to cancel our vacation to New York and Australia because of this mess. Instead, we will rebook Hawaii and Australia later this year and early next year to visit friends. I can’t wait.

Genevieve Avatar

There are several reasons why everything is so expensive here – firstly our dollar is not doing so well – about 70 cents Aus. = $1 US; Secondly, international shipping rates are incredibly expensive and thirdly, we have a government that taxes the hell out of everything. We pay an additional cosmetics tax plus import duty on most items.
Re your friend’s wife – I would be that lady if I came to the States and went to Sephora, Ulta etc. We have a Sephora here, but it is a disappointment – very limited stock, hugely expensive and only certain brands….
How kind of you to take her makeup shopping too.

Rachel R. Avatar

I just want to give Mellan hugs and cuddles. He looks like a snuggler.

Haul:
*SEPHORA — Natasha Denona Mini Retro Palette and Mini Bloom Blush.

*AMAZON — L.A. Girl Just Blushing Face Blush in Just Radiant and Just Blushing (which broke in transit, so I’ll be returning it to Amazon); L.A. Girl Shockwave Neon Eye Liner in Gotcha and Electric; Rimmel Stay Matte Long-Lasting Pressed Powder in Translucent; and two Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation Sticks in Porcelain.

Rediscoveries: Fenty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette, which I got when it first went on markdown after last Christmas. I use it more on my eyes than my cheeks, but it’s gorgeous. Stone Cold is sublime no matter where you use it.

Weekend plans: Chores, pay bills, and more makeup decluttering.

What was your favorite movie growing up?: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead (from age 9 upwards). I still love both.

brendacr1 Avatar

Mellan, I was very tired this morning too!
Haul/Rediscoveries: nothing, my Husband’s business is not doing very well, so I’m really on a more of a no buy than I was before. No rediscoveries neither, the only time I go outside is to get the mail and that doesn’t require makeup.
Weekend plans: We have to make a decision about which refrigerator we’re going to buy, running down to the basement for refrigerated supplies sucks! It’s also our 40th Anniversary on Sunday, we’re trying to figure out what we’re going to cook ourselves for dinner, our favorite restaurant is closed.
What was your favorite movie growing up?: I would agree with you Christine – Cinderella!

Genevieve Avatar

I’m sad to hear that your husband’s business is not doing too well. Is it the kind of business that may pick up when everything is over?
Happy Anniversary for Sunday Brenda – 40 years is a pretty good effort. I hope you are able to make a lovely meal and celebrate it in style at home.
Good luck with refrigerator shopping – I think the hard part is trying to figure out if the one you’ve chosen will fit into the space in your kitchen. Going up and down the stairs for frozen supplies would be quite annoying…
Have a lovely weekend.

brendacr1 Avatar

Thank you Genevieve, We are hoping business comes back when this virus is under control, (gone, dealt with, eradicated if possible). We have background work we can do while we wait for customers to come back, we just feel bad for businesses that can’t hold on. I’m even breaking out a bottle of wine tomorrow, I’m not much of a drinker but 40 yrs calls for wine I think.

Genevieve Avatar

I am also sending prayers your way too. We can only be positive and thankful that we aren’t one of the ones who have tested positive for the virus. So many businesses here in Aus will probably go to the wall too.
I don’t drink much wine either, but lately I have enjoyed the odd glass with dinner as well. I hope you have a lovely celebratery dinner.

brendacr1 Avatar

Thank you Rachel, it is what it is, sometimes you have to make lemonade out of lemons and we will do what we have to do. Our city has the highest unemployment rate in the country here in Canada. Sometimes opportunities present themselves went all hope is gone.

Sarah Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: No haul. Rediscovery: Been using Mac Sin a lot. Why not use up a matte burgundy lip around the house? Lol

Weekend plans: Catch up on work and cleaning. Maybe play some video games too.

What was your favorite movie growing up?: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone! (and each subsequent movie as they came out)

Susan Avatar

Mellan looks like he’s slow to wake up this morning. I had Cairn Terriers for 30 years. They woke up ready for anything until they were about 14 yrs old. After that, they passed themselves. Lived to almost 15 and almost 16. We now have a young Cairn mix. Age est 2 to 4 yrs. We think closer to 2. All attitude. So fuunny.
Favorite movies: anything with animals, old Yeller, Bambi, Wizard of Oz. Probably more. I cried at all of them.
Haul: lippies. 2 from Uoma that were reviewed here and a sheer Revlon whose name I don’t remember, of course.

Nikki Avatar

Haul/Rediscoveries: No new purchases this week (will probably change next week with the Spring Savings Event at Sephora), but my Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette arrived Thursday, 3 business days before it was expected!
Weekend plans: I’ll probably have to run out for milk. Otherwise just tomorrow’s SVU marathon and trying to get up for the Sunday morning MST3K double-feature starting at 10:30.
What was your favorite movie growing up?: Any Disney movie with a strong heroine. The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Aladdin, Hercules, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame were all on the list, but my all-time top pick was Beauty and the Beast.

Tracey E. Avatar

Haul: Beautylish (30% off + $20 bonus gift card): Tom Ford Soleil d’Hiver quad. Placed a small order with Sephora.

Rediscovery: Shorter hair. Ha! I wear my hair short but it gets thick and longer (my mother called me a wooly mammoth), so my spouse agreed to cut a conservative amount of length off and he did a great job! I can’t wait for my thinning shears to arrive to further take our the bulkiness. I “rebooked” with my spouse, much to his horror. We had many hearty and much needed laughs throughout. Each snip was music to my ears!

Weekend Plans: Enjoying the outdoors after a week of below average tempertures, dull skies, and rain/snow showers. Need to reorganize my bathroom and finish a few to-do items.

Favourite movie growing up: Every Charlie Brown/ Peanuts movie (they weren’t shown on tv, so had to see them in the threatres). Star Wars, ET, and Lady and the Tramp were other favourites.
