Sephora Rolling in the Grass (10) Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Sephora Rolling in the Grass (10) Eyeshadow
Sephora Rolling in the Grass (10) Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “mirror dark green.” It’s a subtly warmed-up forest green with a soft, golden olive undertone and a green-gold shimmer with a frosted, metallic finish. L’Oreal Golden Emerald is lighter, warmer. Inglot #414 is cooler-toned, tealer. Inglot #418 is greener. Make Up For Ever #310 is less metallic.
When applied dry, it had rather disappointing color payoff; it appeared dry and a bit uneven, and overall, semi-sheer. When applied with a damp brush, it took on a much more intense color; it applied more evenly, smoothly, and was mostly opaque. Sephora’s Mirror finish is interesting, because it has the sparkling quality of a glitter eyeshadow matched with the reflective quality of a metallic finish but without the fall out problems. While it didn’t wear the full ten hours Sephora claimed, it did hold up well; there was only some very minor fading along the edges.

hi christine, could you possibly do a review on the Nars palette (God created the woman)?
I’ve seen swatches online and they look pretty dry swatched, but people are saying it’s great quality still? it’s kinda got me confused!
this is why i only trust temptalia! i find your reviews so honest and accurate.
thanks:)
Hi K!
Unfortunately, I don’t have it 🙁
How would one go about applying your eyeshadows damp? I’ve always been curious about the technique but I can never get my brush the perfect wetness! Thank you!
Usually, I run my hand under water, then dab my brush in a droplet on my hand – you want it damp but not wet! 🙂
Thank you Christine 🙂
Sephora is killing me with all these gorgeous shadows! I don’t even wear greens all that often (and I have way more green shadows than are sufficient to my needs)but I’m wanting this one!
I wish Sephora was more accessible for me! 🙁 *sigh*
Gorgeous shade! I always fall for greens, and I definitely like the finish of this one.
This also looks alot like UD Bender (at least on my screen), so I’ll pass on this. It is beautiful though; I just have so many dark, shimmery greens that don’t get nearly enough use as it is (although it really is a very flattering shade for my coloring).
WOW! I think I have found my new go to green…..!! My poor Sephora shopping list is so long LOL!
Now if only they came out with a color called “Rolling in the Deep” that was a blue version of this eyeshadow.. 😉
I need this color ASAP. It’s gorgeous!!!
Its really a beautiful green. I cannot wait to purchase it.
